Serious question (or maybe I'm missing the 'tone' of this article and its replies ), if you lose Chambers and McGoldrick, with whom would you realistically replace them with? (NB -'realistically' )

Chambers, apart from a good half a season is an average NPC centre half it best. I'm sure we could pick a free up that would be as good. McGoldrick never plays so we wouldn't need to replace him.

Like everything at Forest nowadays it all depends on if or when the takeover happens

OK then - but my question has still not been answered...

In Mcgoldrick's case I would say the invisible man, but you've already signed Tyson so that's not an option. In Chamber's case a donkey off Skeggy beach would do as good a job and probably score fewer own goals.

Could see some logic in it, we need a centra half to replace Barks... The lad is out of contract and it's 20mins down the road.... Stick him on our bench as cover for Bucko

If we lose Chambers there's a gap, he was a plank last year but good the year before. He's decent but limited and if he stops throwing his body in the way of strikers (being in the last year of his contract may explain that) he's not worth having.

McGoldrick has barely played so barely needs replacing (although I actually quite like him he's probably not worth the wages he's reportedly on).

Regarding replacements we clearly need to sign defenders, more than just replacements for Chambers. The trouble is there's no cash so who knows who we'll play there, academy kids maybe. I think it's a relegation year ahead pure and simple.

We signed both those players under a different regime and can't afford to re-sign them. Maybe lower league players of kids will have to do the job.

Forest fans never fail to amuse me, rave about a player one season but then when linked with another club they're pudding, such a fickle bunch
