If we get moyes and he does well for us , and ferries retires a couple of years, what happens then? We could be in the same boat.

Torres, Lukaku, Mikel, Kalou, Drogba, Lampard, Cole all had some sort of problem with him at one point or another. Half those players ive mentioned arent even old.

-------------

The ones that aren't old are the ones on the fringes of the first team though. Torres wanted to leave after you won the CL!

Bale's that would be assuming he does well with us first. .

It's hard to know just when Fergie will be retiring. I can see him carrying on for a bit longer with the new challenge of City ahead. He could be there until he's 80.

Torres didn't want to leave at all, but when a number of players are all saying exactly the same things the you have to worry about a managers capabilities. Its easy to you use that age old excuse of the old players but Avb got it hideously wrong. If you'd be happy with him coming in then fair enough, but if he did i don't think you'd be near top 4 next season

Moyes will outlive Fergie. The precious ring will give him longer life.

Really?

"I feel like I'm at a peak moment in my career, with more desire and hunger than I've felt in a long time, but I've had to spend the final on the bench. It was a huge disappointment when I saw the line-up, perhaps the biggest in my life. This season I have felt things that I never had before. I've felt like they treated me in a way that I didn't expect, not in the way that was spoken of when they signed me. We've had a lot of talks and we'll talk about my future because the role I've had this season is not for me, nor is it the one I expected to play when I came here. I'm not comfortable. I want them to tell me what is going to happen in the future"

Sounds like he was thinking about it!

Any new manager is a gamble but AVB's won stuff and he'd certainly have the motivation to succeed, without the pressure of Roman bearing down on him.

What will be the target and expectation for the new Spurs manager?

What are Levy's targets and ambitions for the club?

Are these clear?

It is only by knowing what these are that we can form opinions on who might be the next best manager for Spurs.

'At Chelsea I am very happy and I never said the opposite. I still have a lot to do in this club, meet personal goals, confidence to return and love to thank. It has been a difficult year, I didn´t play much and my mind was like a roller coaster. I felt bad, very bad and I would not like to feel that way again. But I have never surrendered and I never will.'
'Now I´m still enjoying. Next year we have already two finals, we will be in the World Cup of Clubs and again we will run for the four trophies that we could have each season. When you win you always want more and more. On a personal level I want my score records back and keep returning the fans all they give me up with goals and titles.'

He had a tough time and just wanted clarification of his role, of course it would be twisted in our media. Bear in mind Avb always maintained that he was at Chelsea for 3 years and i doubt he didn't want to succeed here. He didn't have any pressure from Roman until he was actually sacked. He just wasn't good enough....yet

Harry was clearly asked win the FA Cup and secure Champions League football.

I would suspect that a new manager would have the same targets.

Winning the league with the way we run our club is unrealistic. Maybe Moyes would be the best option

Should change that too didn't have pressure on him till his final days

Don

From what I remember he said that after Drogba announced he'd be leaving. Besides, my point is players not in the starting XI will moan - it's inevitable - and not necessarily the sign of a bad manager.

No pressure until he was sacked? Sorry, but I don't believe that for a second.

Fergie's head will be cryogenically frozen when he dies so he can come back as manager of Man Utd

Lampard played the majority of Avb's games and the same goes for Cole too. Take a look at what was said by players like Lukaku who after reading what he said just makes you feel sorry for him. Not talking to players isn't great either.

Only saying that because a week before he was on portuguese radio talking about signings for next season, who he's planning to bring in and also that Roman is fully behind him

I thought Lampard was benched for much of AVB's reign

Let's be honest here - Lukaku has got no place to be moaning and Cole's a anyway.

AVB was never given a chance to make the team his own, having said that it was his job to get the players on-side.

posted on 14/6/12

Thats what i thought, but the stats showed otherwise. Lukaku was completely justified, horrible mis management. Anyway lets see what happens with your manager, avb might not be even considered

AVB's a proven failure.

Dont want him anywhere near the club.

Dont want capello either because he's got a screww loose.

It would be nice to have someone entertaining (which rules out moyes too), but not tactically inept.
