You just seem to be moaning quite alot. Seems like you're just as put out at signing RDM as we are at losing HR, eh?

Is it just a coincidence that the Spurs board sacked Harry AFTER Chelsea's offical appoinment of RDM (about 7-10 hours later)?
Do you think it might have been playing on Levy's mind that if Chelsea hadn't made anything official with RDM (or anyone else) that Harry could have walked straight into the hotseat of a direct rival, and possibly embarrassing the Spurs board by Harry becoming a hit at Stamford bridge?

It's an interesting conspiracy theory that you put up, but the conspiracy theory that has been jumping out at me all day, but with a slightly different twist is that I think that Levy was always going to tin-tack Harry, but was waiting to see what Chelsea were going to do about the managerial position, because if my memory serves you will recall in recent months, that after Harry was passed over for the England job, there was a lot of press speculation that Abramovich was going to get Harry in instead of Di Matteo, so I'm wondering if Levy was hanging on to see if he could get a release payment for Redknapp from Abramovich (a win, win situation for him) and once he knew that it wasn't going to happen after RDM's appointment yesterday, he was left with no alternative but to pull the trigger. Especially as a couple of days ago speculation was rife that Redknapp had either left the club or been written to by Spurs asking him to tender his resignation (thereby avoiding paying up the contract). This theory looks plausible to me.
What do you think?

There's definitely something strange about the timing of this sacking. If 4th place was never going to be enough, then why not sack him before the CL final. Why does it matter who won if 4th place wasnt good enough?
Whats funny is, you're kind of agreeing that there has been speculation about Harry & Chelsea, where others are labelling the idea "Comedy Gold".
Funny ole game aint it?

I agree fella that it's a funny old game.
Tell you what while we're on the conspiracy theories. I think that the reason England went for Hodgson rather than Redknapp, was because he was a cheaper option. The F.A. knew that Levy was going to hammer them for compo (win, win for him again and you can bet your life that he was eagerly awaiting them) so they simply swerved Harry and went for Roy.

Oh...there's absolutely no doubt about it. If Harry's sacking had come before Roy's appointment then it would be Harry preparing to take on Sweden right now, not Roy.
Lads,
I don't think Harry ever had a chance of becoming England manager, too many skeletons in the closet for the Blazers at the FA.
The media and fans fuelled the idea and Harry went along with it, after all it was a win-win scenario for him. Getting the National job was always something he wanted but, whilst being touted for it, he also had his agent pushing Levy for a fat new contract.
The cynic in me wonders how much of all that's been talked about in the press was started by Harry's agent?
