If you're buying club you could take 1 if 3 views

1) you like existing manager and want him to continue what he's doing subject to your agreement.

2) you want to put new manager in place so put a stop on inbound and outbound activity.

3) you're not sure about manager yet so put a halt in activity until you can assess that properly.

fair enough Jonty, but there's also the scenario where neither Bates as the (hopefully) outgoing owner, and the new owners are'nt willing to release funds until the deal is done and they know what monies they have to play with.
also, the new owners may have put in a bought as seen clause effectively freezing activity within the club .

Fair point highland, could just be a stop on things till done, I guess what I was trying to say is that there could be a number of scenarios.

Steve made post earlier about takeover. I know Steve, so I trust what he said there.

Just the strength of the rumours Mate, and i thought that, because it's fairly common practice for a buyer to insist all a company's assets are left in place until the takeover is complete.
Unfortunately i'm just seriously hoping and praying that a takeover is on the cards

Thanks Jonty. It's genuine. I met the guys today have significant involvement with Uncle K and they confirmed that is is a takeover, that it might not happen as the asking price is too high at the moment. They believe Master B to be an excellent businessman btw although they accepted Leeds fans would have a different view given the emotions at play.
