No he won`t. Why should he, Levy has built our club up into a top four team, has not been afraid to give our managers more than most, obviously no way can he give what Chelsea, Man U and Man City spend. But who can? He is embarking on building a new stadium.

Sometimes I wonder what our supporters really want. Do they want the club to overspend and go the way of teams like Portsmouth, Leeds and Rangers?

Whats it to do with overspending Sandy mate?

He means if hes got the managers decision wrong We were in a great spot with Harry and now weve taken the decision to change things. Its a big decision

You're stuck with ENIC for a long time.

The blah blah has always been that Joe Lewis wants to get THFC fattened up to a 500m calf, and then ENIC will sell.

Hardly close to that, are we.

Messiah, I doubt Harry was sacked on a whim, I would imagine the way Harry was chatting yesterday it was on a mutual agreement.

Don`t forget everybody is having a go at Levy, but Harry would have walked out on the club without a second thought had he been offered the England job. Harry gave four good years, but the club is now moving on again.

The overspending bit was a slight reference to a lot of our supporters who think Levy does not splash the cash, he does, but the club can only spend so much. Some of our supporters wanted to spend big in January, on whom I do not know. But Levy sensible resisted the temptation to splash just for the sake of it.

If Levy gets this wrong he’s had an absolute elm street and will be forever despised by the fans.

------

no he wont.

overall the intelligent spurs fan knows that levy has helped take the club out of the dinosaur age and into the 21st century.... he has just built us one of the most impressive training grounds in the world let alone the country, and has managed to address the issue of a new stadium, which was overlooked by previous chairmen.

he has done all this while overall keeping us very competitive and at a fraction of the cost that our rivals spend.

top top chairman, whether he gets this right or wrong.

500m calf, and then ENIC will sell.More like a pig in a poke at this moment in time. And all guessing who going to be the next manager.

Not unlike Chelsea, with Roman calling the managerial shots,Levy following in his footsteps.

He's done no such thing. For Spurs have never been such a club.

He has prudently (learning along the way - good and bad) built upon the Sugar reign (who should also be ) to be the only club capable of challenging the Sky 4 regime and the Sugga Daddy FCs with relatively limited financial resources.

A good response to some of this knee jerk reaction to Harry`s departure. Daniel Levy has put a hell of a lot into our club, and deserves not to be treated like some kind of leper, just because he has had to make difficult decisions.

I liked Harry, and would have been happy for him to stay, but life moves on. A new manager will come in, and when the season starts, Harry will be all but forgotten if the truth be told.

He doesnt have as much respects as he gets on here with a lot of fans I can tell you that

I like him personally I think he does a great job but I'm worried for the club now. First to admit that I dont like change generally though.

Completely unlike Chelsky, given Levy is a major shareholder in ENIC.

IMHO more like :

You said you could build Spurs up into a 500m concern that I could then sell, Daniel.
Tis your baby, you deal with it.

i think you would be surprised.

vast majority of spurs fans have a great amount of respect for Levy.

remember how much everyone was worshipping him 9 months ago when he refued to sell modric and then we won 10 games in 11 or something...

that is just one example.

certainly me and all my spurs friends and family hold levy in very high regard.

Fair enough mate, you may be right, but I think he has done a good job at our club, you may not agree though, your perogative. We all have differing opinions that we hope will be for the good of the club.

Nothing but total respect for his labour of love.
Pity that offshore Joe will reap 70% of the rewards should it come to fruition.

what i will say in defence of Levy is that I largely agree with all the comments made. Overall he's been good for spurs and is a no-nonsense negotiator and if rumours are to believed that harry brought up the issue of his contract whille Levy was in mourning over the death of his mother then in some respects who could blame him for taking the action he did. Just seems a bit knee jerk to me as does the appointment of AVB.

This is a top class statement, well done chronic >applause> Levy knows what is best for the club I firmly believe this

Galv, Levy must have some plan although i suspect Harry forced the issue and brought things to a head sooner than he wanted.

When you consider Harry loves to buy and sell in the market every window, isn't it strange how Levy didn't let him splash the cash in the last few windows? My feeling is they both thought he'd be gone after the Euros and Levy was keeping the money for the new guy. Harry could walk out having secured CL qualification again and all parties would have been happy. Crappello scuppered that plan and we all know what happened next.

You have to believe Levy had been planning for Harry's departure, it's been talked about for long enough. He's a shrewd guy running a major company and, if we all talked from our heads instead of our hearts, we'd acknowledge the success he's been for Spurs.
