I like this theory. It would make sense.

I know nothing about Conte but for some reason I am thinking Ramos all over again.

Well that has to be a load of rubbish. If he was prepared to offer Harry a 3 year deal back then then it's clear that Levy was happy with the direction Harry was taking the club. It completely contradicts everything that has been said. I really don't believe that Levy is naive enough to believe that all managers should be 100% loyal. There's no way that Harry having one eye on the England job was the catalyst behind this decision. If that was the case then surely he would have offered him the new deal when the England job went to Roy. Anyone who is in football knows that loyalty doesn't really exist anymore. It's only the fans that hate that. The rest are realists.

so we go from someone who's embroiled in a tax scandal to someone whose embroiled in a fraud scandal ?

he is under investigation in italy so prob would not take a risk on him in case he gets banned from football

no chance would he leave the Champions to go to Spurs. If Levy went for this he should run down the road after Harry's car and they can both sail into the sunset.

I agree with that fridgeboy but we were flying high in January. Even as fans we thought Harry was the messiah. After our collapse we weren't so sure. Maybe Levy felt the same way. It has been two years in a row.

Yeah but surely Levy isn't short-sighted enough to believe that a manager can become bad prety much overnight. If he got us within a whisker of 1st place in January, why do people question his credentials now? Least of all Levy, who quite frankly should be smart enough to laugh off the inane criticisms of the fans. He seems as fickle and stupid as the 'Harry out' brigade.

I said all along that it would be suicide getting rid of him, and already i'm seeing a lot of those who were in favour of his sacking looking a little worried as to what our options are at this point. You all gave the thumbs down, Levy was just holding the axe.

fridgeboy...................................Harry did not show the commitment to trhe club that Levy was looking for. Harry wanted Spurs to wait to see if he got the England job, Levy quite rightly decided he was not going to let a manager spend millions in the transfer window & then just trot off to another job.
It makes good business sense, keep any funds for a new manager as an incentive.

Harry tried to play both sides and has lost.................the collapse of the team is down to him & the players, not Levy!

I think Redknapp has done a very good job, however I do feel; he has failed in his use of players and in failing to utilise players strengths...............Bale & Lennon being classic examples. Allowing Bale to ropam actually hampered the team.

I for one think the club can still comp[ete next season with a new manager. For me either Benitez or Martinez (under a director of football) would do okay, AVB is also being strongly backed & I do not belive he was given a fair crack at Chelsea.
