Didn't Jim Spence post a similar article about this a few weeks ago too?

Is it just me or is it not good enough that an organisation such as the BBC can post stories by quoting someone without revealing who exactly they are? It really annoys me that we get stories that are from "a source" or "an insider source" or "a close friend". It's something I'd expect from the Record. They can afford to have about ten radio pundits, yet no 606.

It's about time.
The Scottish football setup is a joke.

If it is truly a merger, then it would be the SFL with 41 members (Rangers aren't a member of anything just now) so would the likes of Clyde, Annan etc get a vote on a new-co?

Henrik i think the vote will happen before any merging takes place to be honest.

Sixteen team league- it's the only way forward.

Play each other twice a season and have a Winter Break. Unless we switch to summer football, but it'd take years to switch that around as the players would have no break when we made the switch.

Henrik - problem with that is that sky want both gers and celts in the top league and they must play 4 times a season. It's a condition of the deal

Apparently the vote about the newco will be made on the 2nd July.

I'd pull the plug on the deal.

If you can't survive without the Sky deal, it's because your own supporters have walked away due to your ridiculous ticket pricing and penny pinching anyway. The smaller clubs get £800,000 a season from the Sky deal, in truth it is not a lot over 19 home games and could be compensated for by an increase in tickets sales. That's my opinion, but the fans come last with these chairmen. The way the game is run should not be dictated by one company, especially if that is a Rupert Murdoch owned company.
