Last season we spent £60m
We got a lot back with the sale of Fabregas, Nasri and Clichy, and this year we can also get £25m back by selling 7-8 deadwood players like Bendtner. We have plenty of them. No need to sell RVP and Theo in order to spend £45m on transfers in.
Also, even if we didnt sell a single player we have more than enough cash to outlay £45m on incoming players.
TV money is set to rise too.
We have no problems with money and never have - even in the first year of the Emirates.
FWDS: Giroud, RVP, Podolski, Theo
WG: Theo, Gervinho, Podolski, Ox, Ryo,
MF: SuperJack, Arteta, M'Vila, Song, Diaby, Ramsey, Coquelin

Pretty decent actually. But that squad has little experience in a title race.

Wednesday night, down the old Dog and Duck. He had a few beers, his tongue was loose.
How much would you say we would get for people leaving?
Bendtner :7-8mill?
Vela: 6mill?
Chamakh: 6mill?
Park: ????
Squillaci: 1mill?
Who else?
Lansbury we might be able to get a couple of million, and we may be able to raise £2 or £3 million with a few of the other reserves (Watt, Eastmond etc)
We won't get a penny for Squillaci Just be happy to get him off the wagebill. Fabianski, Mannone, Djourou and Denilson will all go too IMO.
Oh yeah forgot about denilson but didnt he flop in his loan spell?
Bastia are reported to be willing to take Squillaci off our hands... for £500k.
Galatasaray are apparently interested in Bendtner for a £4.5m. Sociedad would pay something similar for Vela. Sao Paulo want Denilson to continue his loan there, (meaning no fee as yet).
Diaby has been linked with a move to Fenerbache - but that's probably just agent talk - but who knows what he's worth to anyone any more? Lansbury could bring in maybe something approaching £2m.
Arshavin £5m tops... Djourou... £3-4m?
If we got £15m all in this summer for our 'deadwood' it'd be a good bit of business.
Actually that £15m could be bumped up a little if we managed to offload Chamakh as well.
Combined £9.5M for Bendtner and Arshavin?! Pull your finger out Ivan.
Denilson became a big part of Sao Paulo's cup run, playing them into the final, and they were trying to negotiate getting a two week extension loan so he could play in semis/final if he got there. I have't been following brasilian football lately as I've been busy, but at least we won't have his wages to deal with, as they want him on another loan

So did City. These players are good enough and now old enough to get us there I believe but if we won at least the FA Cup and finished top 3 it would show progress!
Not trying to WUM but unfortunately for you guys, it seems the teams ahead of you, City, United, Chelsea will be strengthening to an even rgeater extent which means you wont be making any progress in term os catching us up
Chelsea - Hazard, Marin, Hulk
City - anyone;'s guess but tbh, they dont even need to sign anyone, just need their stars to continue gelling
UNited - Kagawa, Powell, Modric? and I expect a new full back

Powell? He's nowhere near ready for your first team yet! A few years, maybe.
It's difficult to judge Chelsea for next season. If you just assume this will be their front 4 next season (although Hulk hasn't been confirmed)
Hazard---Marin---Hulk
Torres
You've got three players who have never played in the league before, and a striker who has struggled to catch form. Add to that a defence, which has looked stronger under Di Matteo, is still problematic.
They've Mata as well though, London Dave.
I know I was just trying to show a hypothetical of the front four. It's difficult to judge how they'll do.
Regardless of who we sign and who leaves, it's important that the squad is together and ready for the start of the season with a decent pre season under their belts. I don't want any of the transfer deadline day madness of last season for it to take us 7 games to get going again.
As long as we don't have a crisis in a specific position next season, we'll have a strong squad. The title is out of our reach but the main aim will be closing that gap on the top 2.
Oh and on top of Podolski and Giroud (assuming that all goes through ok) then we've got a host of LANS in Wilshere, Diaby, Bendtner, Arshavin, Vela, Miyaichi etc
I think Dzagoev is also going 2 join now
I think Dzagoev's overrated, I have to agree with John on this one. I'd much rather we went for Keisuke Honda
We finished ahead of Chelsea we don't need to catch them up as we're already at least on par with them
