If Kamran Akmal comes back he should never come back as W/K... I rather a non-tested keeper is given a chance, yes he may fail, drop chances, but at least he can learn, unlike Kamran!
Another dropped catch!!!
What happened to this new fielding coach cos we have gone backwards if that is even possible.
I don't understand why people always blame the coaching staff that come in... Can you people not see these guys are just useless? We will never learn in the field, if the greatest fielder ever, Jonty Rhodes can not teach these guys to field then who will? Rhodes said himself these guys will always be rubbish in the field. I for one feel sorry for our fielding coach, he must be think, wtf.
These are very difficult conditions to bat on, very difficult... The batsman are finding it hard to score, never saw the Pak innings, but SL seem to be struggling.
Even when long hops or short/full wide deliveries are bowled, they still cannot hit it properly!
Amir,
Fielding improves with practice and better technique and attitude towards fielding. That is the job of the fielding coach mate... Otherwise, Wtf is he picking his wage up for??
I remember Jonty Rhodes working with Pakistan, after a while he said these guys will never learn.
How can you blame the fielding coach? Sohail Tanvir ran to save the ball and what does he do? He puts his foot out, he doesn't dive, instead he put his foot out and then again, it ends up hitting his other leg and going for four! You blame the fielding coach on that!?
Blame the fielding coach on our fielders dropping easy chances? You talk about technique etc... You're making out as if these guys don't even have one, they should have the basics at least, especially at this level and they don't even have that! So how can you blame our fieldng coach for that!?
Lankan's take the batting power play, this is going to be a very cruical period. Sami was going to come on, but Misbah decided against it as soon as he saw SL take the batting power play. Trust the guy, Misbah!
This game should be in the bag now
Now that's how you field, magnficent throw by Farhat and an equally good take by the w/k.
Perera hits the ball towards mid-on, he wants the run is sent back, meanwhile Farhat collects the ball and throws towards the keepers end. The keeper runs and dives forward, collects the ball at the right time and takes of the bail as he dives forwards. Now that's what you call feckin' commitment!
This might actually be close now after Sami delivered his short and wide stuff.
They need a couple of wickets or this will slip away from them.
SL do bat down the order so its not game over.
