I like the look of spurs under AVB if this is anything to go by

With the suggestion being that Chelsky have/had neither the latent ability (donkey JT vs speedy Walker etc) +/- the receptive mindset to play the AVB vision ??
Great find and a great read too!
must admit I'm on the fence about AVB atm; would prefer Blanc given his international experience. However, if he is appointed and plays fluid attacking football then I'm 100% behind him!
COYS
I think this style of play seems to suit us, and it would be nice to know that unlike Harry, AVB would put out the best team available, as opposed to the best players like a twelve year old playing FM...
But like the article states, if he takes a risk on youth, which seems to be the way that things are shaping up, then we could be in for exciting times at the lane.
It certainly would be nice to see more of Harry Kane.
Is that perhaps the reason we only have one recognised senior striker in Defoe?

Doubt it.
More about not dealing with the striker roster (short/long term) at the Berba/Keane departure in 2008.
Don't think Kane will make the grade as a PL striker (seen him a few times last season, Nextgen and Europa) . Others are of a similar opinion.
But as always, would love him to emphatically make me eat those words.
Rubbish and most deluded article
Bluejaja.................Rubbish and most deluded article

Why? Because it suggests Chelsea did not have the quick back four or creativity in the middle of the park to play AVB's way? Yes I know you won the CL.............................but that was in a very negative way & I think you rode your luck in both Semi's & the Final.

RDBD..........................................How perceptive of you, there was me under the illusion that Chelsea were under the cosh in both games!
My eyes have been well & truly opened and from now on I shall recognise "The Chelsea Way" as the only way to play & win trophies.
On that note, once all teams embrace the above I will be announcing my participation in the World Knitting & Crochet Championships.

Indeed.
If you watch those games in 1/10th speed slo mo, apparently you actually see an array of high-tempo fluid attacking play down the centre/flanks from the team wearing blue.
