It's quite obvious that a lot of people only saw the back of the Xavi bandwagon and still haven't got a clue of what his game's really about.

Shame really - for them.

Completely irreplaceable and his demise will also mark that of the current Barça and Spain sides.

Oh dear. I have to take part in some home made emancipation my friend is doing. He's into filming and stuff. If it isn't done within half an hour, i will tell him where to stick his camera as i want to relax at weekends, not waste my time doing that stupid crap!

The demise of the Barca/Spain sides?

Really?

Ozil is a good player.

I personally don't see the similarities with Zidane and i'm pretty sure when Ozil retires, he won't be mentioned in the same breath as zidane - the greatest footballer of all time

Yes, or to put it better, of their current approach.

Xavi's the pivotal point of such a large part of their possession game that none of their current crop of players can perform his role to the same extent. Thiago's been touted as his successor, and he arguably has more in his locker from a technical point of view, but I have serious doubts as to whether he'll be capable of developing Xavi's poise.

Without him, both teams will have no choice but to change and become more direct.

Op is clearly a wum, smells of reincarnation of ST.. Iniesta is a football genius, glides with the ball. Xavi is the best ever CM. No one can control a match like this guy.

Ozil is a good player but level below the Barce pair

He nearly signed for UTD once

Some clueless people on here. And they are underrating Ozil.

Iniesta is indeed an attacking mid. He can be compared with Ozil.

Ozil is a special player. I'll have to agree with the OP. He is the 3rd best midfielder in the world behind Xavi and Iniesta. He is that good. Just slightly behind at the moment though. Needs a bit more time.
