Not really.
Downing had the highest assist rate of any player in the England squad, at international level.
So in fact, he didnt get a chance to fulfil his international potential, or improve his already decent record for England, in terms of assists.
It may well be Monday, but thats no excuse for ill informed articles.
C- Must do better.
