Ally has been a mug. "We won't forget those who kicked us when we were down"

What a pathetic attitude, you reap what you sow

"Peter Lawwell is a legend and years ahead of anyone else involved in football, this man was talking about sporting integrity and rangers in 2008."

Aye...inventing trips to Japan that didnt materalise to get his point across....very commendable

In 2008, if the fixture list remained the same, Rangers would have been forced to play something like 3 league games in the space of 4 days, that would have been a game on the Thursday, a game on the Saturday and a game on the Sunday...now please, explain to me, where the fck is the sporting integrity in that??

Blame the SPL/SFA for not getting their finger out and banking on Rangers being dumped out of Europe before working to fit fixtures in for all that carry on!!

jelousy makes people say mean things.....

If rangers had someone like Pete in charge they wouldn't be in the mess they are in now.

I can guarantee you, that I, nor any bears, are jealous of Peter effing Lawwell mate.

The guy lost his club the 08/09 SPL title because he looked at the nick of Rangers and thought "they are $hite, we have money aye but we dont need to spend here, Gordon, yer getting Willo Flood and thats it!"

The guy talks about sporting integrity, talks about the good of the game in Scotland......then says he only gives a fck about Celtic, supports a ref strike which impacts heavily on the lower leagues, and tries to force the SPL/SFA to make Rangers and other clubs play 2 games in two days.

aye...jealous as fck mate

If Dave Whelan was the Celtic chairman, I'd be well jealous....no that kant Lawwell, not a chance mate

"You tell me just one simple reason why a club from Division 2 or 3 will vote for newco to go straight into Division 1."

Because some of these clubs might have invested heavily in a promotion push of theri own, and if Rangers ended up in their league, that would seriously hamper their own ambitions of moving up the leagues.

Lesser of two evils having them in the first than the third, because it gives them a better chance of progressing from the third/second to the third themselves without Rangers doing a Gretna or a Livvy, two previous examples of clubs with financail might progressing straight right up through the leagues

Stevie regarding your point about the fixtures, no one asked you guys to postpone a game to give you a full weeks rest, and it didn't half backfire when Lyon gubbed you 3-0.

If that game had been played when it was due to be played it would have been one less fixture for you guys to worry about at the end of the season, can't have it both ways mate

Ginger:

Playoffs

At present, champs go up. With Rangers in the division it is realistic to assume that they may be there or thereabouts. And this is the main reason SFL clubs may object - they see a whole wasted season, albeit with a windfall.

So have play offs at the end of this coming season - result, windfall and same chance of promotion.

The SPL let us do that, was their choice, their say so

A weekend of games were also cancelled because of the Scotland game versus Italy at the SFA's request

Numerous cup replays didnt help the situation

Old firm game cancelled at new year and bad winter weather added to it all.

SPL could very easily have rearranged the fixtures well in advance of Rangers getting to the semi final of the Uefa Cup before thinking "$hit, we need to do something here"

Extension to the season was best for all parties in the end, not just Rangers

Cant have it one way and not the other mate....wasnt all down to Rangers asking for a game to be cancelled

To be fair mate, it was extended by 4 days

The weather was attrocious that year right enough, i know players get tired etc mate but Celtic done it and even went to extra time in their final and were only a goal behind Rangers 3 days later

Pity you couldn't beat teams like Partick Thistle and St Johnstone in cup games and had to go to replay after replay.

If you want to be champions you have to beat what is in front of you in the time frame given.

Why not blame your manager? If it wasn't for your negative tactics you may have won a few more games

If Celtic are ever in a similar situation...I'll remember that.

The outcry if you lot had to play 3 games in four days at such a crucial point of the season would be deafening....Hugh Dallas would get hung if he dared to even show his face in public at that time, and the SFA wouldnt be getting al the plaudits they are getting now for being at war with Rangers thats for sure...damn sure

Stevie, Dallas would probably want to ref one of the games

After today things cannot get any worse for serco 5088 any other player planning to leave must do so before 12am tomorrow. And at present they will be admitted to division 3.
======================
I would suggest the SFA refusing to transfer their SFA membership would be a whole lot worse!!!

& unless Green starts confiriming who is backing him and his plans the SFA will not process the application.

If they don't get the membership they can;t even play in Div 3 at the moment.

They are back in training tomorrow I believe? I predict plenty of reporters at the gates confirming who has turned up and who hasn't!!!
