Goal line tech

I don't see why they can't just do what Rugby does? Get another official and give him a TV with all the angles possible and give him a minute or 2 to decide if it was over the line. This could also be used in red card cases if the ref isn't sure

Agreed.
How many times has goal line tech been sorely missed in the last 12 months?

1 goal (which everyone but the linesman saw, regardless of GL tech) in the Euros and maybe 2 in the entire PL season.

People will just now feel aggrieved about offsides, rash unseen tackles, etc. Then the bandwagon for a 4th official to judge via instant TV replays will soon begin.

As an avid follower of cricket, I honestly dont like the whole hawkeye and review systems. Its made the whole thing predictable for want of a better word

Just as the banning of more than 1 bouncer etc did.
I dont mind change but the controversy is half the fun IMO

Redreason – I bet the refs and linesman don’t feel the same way To be honest I’m not too fussed either way about goal line technology as long as it ends there. Plantini’s talk of the offside in the build up to the “Ukraine” goal is irrelevant – the goal line technology should literally be a chip in the ball so that when its over the line the refs gets told by a bleeper or a buzzer on his watch etc

Anyway back to my original point – yes the debates and controversy make football interesting but we can’t put that ahead of the needs and wellbeing (in some cases) of the players and officials. We need to give them all the available tools to do a good job – we can’t blame them for mistakes If we are refusing to help them.

300k PL teams have atleast 20k a week turn up to 38 games per that's an extra 50p if you were going ton generate entirely from tickets

FA to give every team in the top 4 leagues two cameras to be used on the line. Give the fourth official a tv to watch the replays from said cameras.

Going to cost what? £200-£300 maybe at most. Don't know where you're getting your £250k figure from.

Hawkeye is very expensive, and the figures are estimates taken from the press etc

I dont really see what it has to do with players wages.
Its a lot of money for something that isnt a regular occurance
