"Ted - its not the same. These players were in the main gers fans. City's are not"
It's exactly the same. They're moving for financial gain - just as all the City players did. Being a fan counts for nothing if it means you can improve your bank balance. All I'm saying is that they are never going to come out and say they moved for the money. It's entirely unrealisitc to expect otherwise.
The players clearly believe they have no future at Ibrox, who are you to judge other working men?
Dc
Spot on , these guys haven't moved to clubs that will meet their so called ambitions
Hector - it is doing the dirty. They could have got the club 500k a man, instead they didn't so the 500k would be thier signing on fee. It's a poor show
Ted - it really isn't, taking aside being a fan or not, city are not in desperate need of money
Ibrox, I'm not comparing clubs, I'm saying that players move for financial reward - City being a good example. Whittaker and co are no different to any other professionals. They took their pay cut last season so have already done the club a huge favour. They shouldn't be chastised for now looking after their own interests.
IE..It's alright for you to say you would do different but untill it happens to you you don't know what you would do. Mon man play in the lower leagues in scotland or play in EPL
ted, with that pay-cut they negotiated a clause whereby they could leave for a nominal fee
conveniently forgotten now teams are danglin' carrots

The Rangers let them down, the club renegotiated their deal.
Wage cut for freedom of contract.
Now it's the players that are in the wrong? I don't think so.
Chaz - I'm not saying they need to play in lower leagues. They could have transferred on the condition an offer of 500k or 1m or whatever is accepted. All the big players would have been snapped up at that price no bother.
I'm not getting into this cos if you bhoys are being honest, if it happened at Celtic you bhoys would be raging. As you were when miller did the dirty on Celtic. Judas was the cry, so I'm sure deep down you do understand why us bears are peeved at not one player, but 9 doing it
Hector - it wasn't wage cut for freedom of contract tho, it was for reduced transfer fees
They didn't even honour that
Ibrox
That was before they bacame the bastions of sorting integrity
The Miller situation is not comparable.
The Rangers let them down, not the other way around.
Miller was a young man with promise, Whitty, Davis, Lafferty et al are closer to the end of their careers than the beginning.
the deal wasn't freedom of contract hector,it was nominal fee
they've used liquidation to get out of that
self-confessed Rangers "supporters" denying the club a coupla bob in it's hour of need, for the sake of whit, waiting a month for a transfer?
Does it matter, they took the wage hit to help you out.
Man up and wish them well.
IE..You don't EVER reject Man United..Miller done what he thought was best in his career..but it backfired.
Blame one man for this,David Murray he ruined Scotish football..well before RFC went bust. He will get whats coming to him..people like him and Whyte always do
I wish some of them well but McCabe and ness and Naismith? No chance
The bottom line is that these guys have the right to do what they've done and that's to fill their own pockets just like the rest of us would. Who knows, if they stuck around to activate the minimum release clauses they may never have got the moves to these new clubs.
it does matter, hector, one of the reasons we paid millions to get these guys was because they were Rangers men now they've reneged on the deal they did to help the club. If they'd a waited a bit longer and went for a coupla quid then I'd have no complaints
Whittaker is not a Rangers man
But neither is Kyle Hutton
and to answer an earlier question hector,we have every reason to criticise these "workin men",seeing as they were workin for US,paid wages with money spent out of these workin men's pockets
Whitty (for example) took a hefty wage cut that probably amounted to £500k or there abouts.
Does that count for nothing?
