TBH I think everythings been on hold because of the Euros and the potential of injuries to key players in teams across europe that managers and clubs (and the dread agent connection) have quietened the market and the rumour mill will get into full swing this week, esp if players start turning up in Italy for "holidays", in Spain for the weather or in Newcastle for the Brown Ale.

not necessarily, berbatov was top scorer the season before, but in that season he hit 4 in one game and got 3 hatricks, the rest of the season was pretty hit and miss to be fair.

I agree he is hit and miss but he is still the 2nd best striker on your books imo!!

When he is on fire he usually bangs 2-3 in a game and all those 1-0 wins u had over the weakers sides in the league if u had won 3 or 4-0 you would have been celebrating number 20!!

Am not sure you can credit Hughes for Kompanys success. He had Lescott and Kolo playing as CD and Kompany coming on and rotating with De Jong. It was only when Mancini came that Kompany was played as CD with first Kolo and later Lescott that we saw the full benefit of signing him.

Reckon Savic will be loaned out, can't see Mancini giving up on him after just one season. So we will need to bring a cb in for cover, I'd like to see us bring someone in who will ultimately replace Lescott as Vinny's partner in one to two seasons time.

Not sure if we need a real out and out winger, I think bringing on one winger would unbalance our formation and it could complicate things, but a wider creative midfielder maybe.

Other than that, striker if any of ours leave perhaps.

Same, I couldn't make my mind up on the lap of honor after the QPR game whether he was waving us goodbye, or whether he is just that genuinely enthusiastic though. Now he's won the Prem with us I'm not sure what else he will think he can accomplish with us, playing as much as he has done over the past 2 seasons.

But I'd definitely keep him too, we look a lot more assured when he comes on around the hour mark, and pushing Yaya up usually sparks another goal.

I don't think he was average throughout last season, he picked up that injury at the start, and then spent the majority of the first half of the season on the bench when we were flying.

Then Yaya left for ACON and he was suddenly dropped into the starting eleven and expected to be 100% match fit and to continue in the same form he finished 10/11 in... Was a big mistake doing that I think back in January

He looked off the pace for a couple of months, but so did several of our other key players and we struggled. By the end of the season he was back in form though, and I was always more comfortable with him and Barry covering the back four.

Im just comparing him to the 10/11 season where he was instrumental in us winnin the FA Cup and gettin top 4.

Love to see him back to that form but ur right in sayin he never really got a good fun of games last year was probably hard for him to get back to his best
