My thoughts on this article is that this was probably the 'deal' that was mooted about when Green first came on the scene and as usual the DR are months behind everybody else.

This 'deal' is what we have been talking about on here since liquidation, the voting change, sanctions carried over etc.

Ok look at it from another way, we will cut back on spending as we won't have the money, we will do nothing in europe as we won't have the players, players we have now will get fed up and want to move on as there will be no competition.

The only fixture in the SPL apart from Hearts is Rangers that we all look forward to,

You missed the point mate, more people watch scottish football (even without rangers) than watch rugby.

Celtic will always do well with the away support but home games for me is were people will take it or leave it.

Now I am going to come in stick from my own here, but the only game I love is the old firm and if thats back next season I for one will be pleased

Rangers Celtic games got 850000 ad 675000 viewers

The next was an Inverness Rangers game at just over 300000
the average for Rangers and Celtic is just under 300000
Rangers being a bit more.

The 2 Edinburgh Derbys got 248000 and 170000

Only 1 other game was over 100000 and that was dure to it being before and OF game

the lowest was 30000

so Duke whit your saying is that Sky will be just fine without rangers

Jinky fair and honest appraisal. Without both Glasgow teams in the SPL scottish football would be dead as we know it! BUT perhaps summer football could start, a grassroots up appraisal and a sacking of blazer wearers and free lunch brigade!

Rangers havent twisted their arm, its been the chairmen who have realised that listening to bitter fans isnt going to help their business stay afloat, they need to make a decision based on finances otherwise they will go under.

Your take it or leave it attitude towards football and also your apparant indifference to other clubs going under seems to alude to a biterness that isnt reasoned, no Bear is saying we shouldnt be punished but death to Rangers seems to be the only thing on some peoples minds.

If rumours, and i will keep reffering to them as rumours as it was a Daily Record exclusive, are to be believed that SKY wouldnt be interested if Rangers were to be relegated to Div 3 then what Old firm fans have been saying all along is correct, Scottish Football NEED Rangers and Celtic to be strong.

No point in being bitter about history, Celtic and Rangers are the only teams anyone else would ever bother watching and thats what SKY are interested in.

as the Sky viewing numbers show at least 4 % of the public when compared to a Rangers Celtic game watch the diddy teams when they play.

Now it is possible they did however simply loose the remote control though who knows
