I am just jesting with you. I agree with what you have written, I really would like Neil Doncaster to go on newsnight or channel 4 news and try to explain his views to them. I would expect a performance similar to Chloe Smith recently or Ben Swain from the thick of it.

You see the celebrations from clubs when they draw an old firm team in a Scottish cup game. Now just imagine every small team in the SFL receiving that. Jesus, it could be the saving of some of there clubs.

Not sure if there is an official structure, but they would probably have to lower paying on the gate from (i think its about 25 - 30 now?) dow to about 15 quid max

That saying i remember paying a tenner at morton to see a league match and they are 1st division

"6. The increased prospects of entering europe for dundee utd, st johnstone, hearts, motherwell etc will allow them to attract far better players."

I cant really agree with this myself...because its certain the SPL clubs will be taking a hit in the pocket in some shape or form, so they wont be able to offer the same level of wages to players that they can now I would think, and they wuld lose some attraction because of this no doubt, tis the way football is these days

I agree with the point you are making....I think to be perfectly honest tho, the easiest way to say it is...its the lesser of all evils for the majority

You are never going to please everyone, and some SPL clubs are going to take a hefty hit....but their reliance on money from Rangers is what is going to dictate that so thats a business plan they have had in place that was flawed itself

They will have been given a punishment for all the things they have done, ebts, tax evasion the lot.

stopped at point 1 as it is wrong on so many levels

when are celtic due their punishment for their illegal EBT by the way? the only club in scottish football to have be caught red handed cheating

Well not really either I suppose.

They will have liquidated and reformed as a new club....as businesses do daily.

They would have to apply to SFL...it wouldnt be a 3 division relegation....it'd be an accession from nowhere.

Any punishments can only be dished out to the old co, which will soon no longer exist.....you cant send a dead man to jail

If Celtic paid the player the same amount as was due as stated on his rgistration then no rules were broken. Many peopleconfuse the two issues with the EBT's. One is a taxation issue and the other relates to the registration of players.
As for the taxation due on Jounihos (sp) payment that was paid so thats no longer an issue.

if you can point out where we have been judged to have misused EBT's or evaded paying tax then i happily rescind but i won't hold my breath...

I agree with most of your points with the exception of your Celtic points. You are not guaranteed Champions League revenue as the co-efficient will fall and the qualification criteria/qualifying rounds will increase. I do not believe that players will remain in an uncompetitive league and many EPL/Championship sides will outstrip your wage structure as your revenue diminishes!

I believe this WILL be a good thing as the whole of Scottish football is restructured with youth being the beneficiary!

Have Celtic not repaid in full the amount due from that legal tax scheme? Celtic caught "red-handed"

TRFC - was the reason you were placed in administration for not paying income tax? the rage is strong in this one.

Thats my take on it stevie.
If its 3rd div then a fresh start no sanctions.
Any other option is open to any sanctions those voting wish to impose because there is no rules on allowing this to happen and therefore since they are making the rules up to permit it they can also make up any addons they wish

u-boat

celtic did not declare the payments of the EBT to the SFA or SPL ergo dual contract scenario, very naughty

you paid the tax some 4 years later after reaching an agreement with HMRC

think of the schools & hospitals that went without for those 4 years

BTC will decide if you owe any tax.
SPL laywers have stated they believe you incorrectly registered players. Up to the SPL what action they take.
The two have nothing to do with each other and if there is ever any findings announced we will all know the rights or wrongs as they regard each individually.
Again one has nothing to do with the other.
