Just to Join the debate in my opinion giroud will be a fantastic signing has every attribute and was unlucky to be a bit part player for France considering out of sorts benzema. He might not have the technique of van Persie but his heading is better and his finishing is a heck of a lot better.
As for podolski he is a very greedy and overrated player, I imagine he will play on the left and cut in. he is far too predictable for defenders and I don't feel he has a good footballing brain. Arsenal fans got annoyed over arshavin it'll be like for like with podolski.
Exactly, losing rvp is much worse than us losing modric. Modric can be replaced and will be replaced by a top class midfielder. You have already replaced rvp and none of them are no where near as good as rvp
