I'm not that bothered to be honest, Fabio is the future
Hes was one of the playr that were in that 1st team frame, and we have a few (William and Michael Keane, Tunnicliffe, Brady, Petrucci, Cole, Lingard) Hes good, but from what ive seen, he hasnt been brilliant, he hasnt got anything on Michael Keane IMO.
Time will tell if he is any good. But you guys have bought a few potentials and they've not amounted to much (Rose, Bostock are the two off the top of my head).
thanks guys, im not coming on here to argue, just trying to see what kinda player he is, and thought you guys seen him alot more than more so thought id ask, my freind seems to think he will be a monster player in 2-3 seasons time, time will tell i guess
How Danny Rose got into the GB squad is beyond me. The very definition of average.
i think with what hes got to pick from d rose will be back up to bertand at lb, hes a solid little player hes done a good job for us when needed at lb and has pl game time and pearce knows him. i personally wouldnt say hes average.
I'd have thought Neil Taylor would be ahead of Bertrand in the pecking order. He'll probably use Rose as a winger.
OP
Hard to tell with what we have seen of Fryers to be honest. He looks steady, but Richie De Leat is exactly the same.
My guees is that SAF doesn't think his potential equates with the wages his agent is demanding.
thanks vidi, totally forgot about taylor, i think bertand will prob get the nod still, pearce knows him from u21 football and speaks really highly of him, i think rose is a good squad player to have hes comfortable lb, lm and cm
Put it this way, I'm not losing any sleep over him going.
If he was that good, even in his own mind, then he'd surely think he could get into United's first team squad regularly considering we only have one specialist left back at the club next season and he's old.
If he didnt think he could do it then why doesnt he think he's good enough?
If he thinks he's brilliant then surely he'd think he could eventually earn big money at United, but despite this wants more cash now.
This should tell you a lot about him.
like others have said, he is an unknown to some extent.
Sure he looked good at youth/reserve level but making the step up is a hard thing to do.
If the rumour is true that you will pay him 20k per week that's laughable to be honest.
He was on the fringes of the first team. He'd had a good season for the reserves last season and made a few appearances for the first team which was good progress for a lad his age and especially when he's playing for a club like Manchester United.
If he'd stayed, I think he would've played even more games than he did last season. If the £20,000 a week is true which I find to be an unbelievable amount of money to invest in such an unproven player, then that has to be the main factor.
Who knows if he would've made it or not? I personally think he had a chance. One thing I do know though is that I'd have liked to have seen him succeed or fail with us rather than with another club and the same goes for all our best youngsters.
Anyway, good luck to him at Spurs.
What's he actually like (pacey, good tackler, good passer etc) ??
Spurs badly need decent LB cover/competition for BAE.
But the 20K/week wage blah blah if true is a bit rich, considering he currently plays for the Man Utd empire.
