REPORTS: RVP SWAP DEAL FOR DAVID VILLA

Would be stunned if this happened. It would be a real slap in the face to journo's who say he's off to City as well never going to happen though, it's too ambitious for Stan.

It'll never happen!
And who the hell is AFC Times?
Why would anyone leave Barca to come to Arsenal?
The weather, the wages or the chance to win trophies

He's a world class player
----------------------------------
World class potential. And would solve what we have lost in Cesc. However we are talking of the top scorer in the premier league and someone who is proven and at the prime of his physical capability. Its just not anyone.

I think we shouldn't run down what RVP has achieved just because he has one year remaining on his contract. I am sure there are plenty of clubs willing to jump into the negotiation for highest scorer in the premier league. I hope we don't jump the gun because of the pressure applied by RVP and Usmanov.

Real Madrid are still out there and they have been trying to sell Higuain. Now there is another player I would prefer over a crocked David Villa.

Giroud is RVP's replacement and Podolski is Theos. There will be a bit of profit to go towards the stadium debt as well.

Why would Arsenal change now without telling the fans they are going to put the team first for a change?

Higuain is quality. The most clinical striker in world football imo.

Nah, he's already world class imo. He's just not a realistic target, Barca wouldn't sell him anyway.

We won't sign another striker imo. I'd like to see us sign a top class attacking midfielder and a versatile defender.

Falcao is the most clinical striker in the world, Saint.

Podolski is not a replacement for Theo. He is a replacement for Arshavin.

Vela, Chamakh, Bendtner, Park are all failed in the league and on the way out. So no, Giroud was never meant to be a replacement for RVP.

I believe the plan was for RVP to stay a year and for us to sign Llorente on a pre-contract ie free next season. That would have allowed Giroud to settle and there would have been little pressure on Llorente to perform immediately for the 2013-14 season.

RVP was obviously aware of this and knows he won't get the sort of money Man City has promised him this year when he is 30. RVP is trying to leverage his 30+ season. Now obviously Arsene has been thrown a curve ball by the negative reaction by the supporters. It was bound to happen and perfectly calculated by his agent.

So we must replace RVP with someone of equal reputation. I just don't that would be David Villa unless he has recovered 100%.

It's twitter, ergo rubbish

David Villa wasn't having a good time at Barca, everything plays through Messi and he just wasn't fitting the system well, he was even more pushed out when Cesc was bought!

I can see him leaving Barca this year, maybe not to Arsenal but somewhere!
