Some people just mindlessly want the same old same old. Too much hassle to change so why change mentality?? I reckon SC is as good as gone, why buy a club if you dont have big ideas and have your onw man in mind to run the team. The Hawasi's have every right to bring in their own manager and inevitably when it does happen we'll find that after a few days most people wont even remember Cotteril and he'll prob be back managing in league 1 or 2 where he belonmgs!!

teams get taken over all the time, notts county, leicester, pompy, but this doesnt automatically mean success.

No one saying it does guarantee anything but all we can do as fans is support the new owners and get behind the club. I dont think Forest fans are getting too carried away, alot of banter and expressions of good faith and intentions but considering where we've been this past 6 months I think we can allow ourselves the luxury of some optimism! Certainly wont be relegation fodder which is where we were before the Al Hawasi's took over

No ones saying different.

All I'm saying is lets try and move on. We should want to improve.

I want Cotterill to be given a chance. He brought in some quality signings in January, on a budget he had to create himself, so I'm hopeful that given a large budget, he could bring in some real quality and we could challenge at the right end of the table.

If he is sacked, then I hope we learn from our mistakes, and employ someone who is suited to the position. Another McLaren type appointment would be a disaster (much like the Bin Robbers with Erikson).

Very exciting times though Really looking forward to the next few weeks to see what happens, who we sign etc .....

if Cotterill does get the bullet then I think it'll most likely be Billy Davies or Mick McCarthy. Who else would be immediately available and knows this league? Most likely it'll be McCarthy as Billy mighht not have endeared himself to prospective owners with his tendency to fight with his bosses. Warnock has signed to many players at Leeds for him to up and leave and Harry is totally unrealistic

Sutton - We dont even know how much money we have. Dont forget we were probably sold fairly cheaply.

Also, we didnt offer lynch and chambers decent offers. Maybe becasue we can now afford better, or maybe because they can't compete with other teams wages. Dont forget, with our wage we lose 10mil a year. Maybe the new owner dont want that, and are cutting playing staff.

If the money is there, then I like your spend spend approach to get us where we want to be, but we dont even know if there is any money to spend yet.

Would be great to see an approach to youth, upgrade the academy to A1 status. Target young up coming hungry players under the age of 25 (preferably) instead of 'never has been premiership journeymen' like Greening and Boateng! Look at the lower leagues, Scotland, Ireland, Scandanavia and allocate 10% to 20% of our first team squad to players from our academy. Build slowly and solidly. Sell anyone that doesnt sign a new contract with onmly a year to run!

talking of Boateng, i follow him on twitter and he recently suggested that adlene guedioura may well sign for forest onceake over complete, also gunter would leave this summer.

also i have noticed that when guedioura tweets he often hashtags nffc!

make of this what you will!

I'm not saying spend spend spend. I'm saying look at where we can improve and look a bit further than what we've got now and what we've had before.

The football worlds massive but so many seem unwilling to look outside our little part of it.

there's a big difference between ambition and chucking money around imo sutton. we've seen enough times that going out and just accumilating big names isn't necessarily what works in the championship.

we've got no defenders and simply going out and buying some isn't likely to pay instant dividends. the club needs to have a clear plan and stick with it through the initial growing pains that are to be expected

Sutton who would you want to replace SC and which players would you want to sign?

I'd have McCarthy or holloway.i believe Blackpool have said they wouldn't stand in Holloways way if he wanted to leave. We could get both I reckon.

As for players that very much depends on budget and I dont know what that is at this time.
