Not being funny but...

At the moment you're heading for at least a £20 million loss this year and you won't get promotion either.

Crash and Burn is a phrase that comes to mind.

Leeds Fan - Whilst I am very impressed by your signings Konchesky included, I'm thinking you must be operating at a large loss and can't possibly sustain this??

This in turn will put extra pressure on the players, Kasper will be a good keeper for you. I am jealous of the strength in depth you will possess. I am however not sure if Sven can ever cut it in English Football without a big budget.

Aza, well apparently our new owners are seriously, seriously rich and it appears that they are prepared to throw whatever money it takes to build a successful team capable of promotion to the 'promised land' and to stay there.

There's obviously the nagging though at the back of most City fans minds - what if we don't go up and the board gets bored and buggers off? But I'm not really sure that would happen. Everyone expected Abramovic to get bored at Chelsea after a couple of seasons but he has proved that he's in it for the long haul.

In any case, what can us as fans do about any of this? Start protesting outside the ground 'You're spending too much money!! Stop signing all these players!!'

We're not Villa fans you know!

It makes me laugh when I read posts from people like that spoon Tyson - 'You're going to lose £20mil etc etc blah blah blah' - are we? Oh no! We'd best have a whip round now then hadn't we??

I personally am not going to lose a penny, but I'm going to have a lot of fun watching what should hopefully turn out to be a thoroughly enjoyable season unfold.

I'd much rather be in that position than spend a season watching a decimated team being led by a manager who seems to be panicking already slip slowly down the league and very possibly slip through the trap door again.

But to sum up, the Thai's can spend whatever money they like, I aint losing any sleep over it.

The money is coming straight from the Thais, which means the debt is not straddled on the club nor is it loaned - big difference to someone like Pompey.
