I don't think warnock will walk, but here's a good litmus test.
Its the right move, Cotterill was hired under very different circumstances and did a job. Not the man to trust with millions and a pressurized promotion push. His sackign was inevitable. Great leadership by the Al Hawasi's, these guys mean business. So excited!! feel like I'm 8 and its xmas morning hahaha
Forestlen
Do you think these guys will put in £10m a year like doherty was.
Because that it a hell of alot to put in, just to cover losses.
im with len 110%. dare we even think 'arry?!? (tongue in cheek!)...
McCarthy or if you believe twitter Maradona
More worrying is that they are ahead of us right now and can buy the good players Warnock might have benchmarked (if the takeover is real).
Palace fans are tweeting that McCormack will be their player by end of today - Varney for McCormack - is that a forward step?
The question is, are the new owners seeing this as an investment or are they just football mad and want to jump on the bandwagon like the owners of Man City and Chelsea? Only time will tell.
LIW - They released a statement that they are putting in £30M to their transfer fund this season and will put in whatever it takes to get Forest challenging for the Premiership title - only words I know, but lets see if they start buying all the players we wish we could afford!!
It'll be McCarthy I reckon, they need an immediate appointment. Belt in for a big ride guys its gonna be exciting so lets enjoy, it its everything we've been wishing we could have for years now!!
Warnock not in the betting for new Forest manager
If only Warnock would go to Forest, and we could get McCarthy. Now that would be a good day.
Leicester, Boro and Cardiff have all tried and failed to buy their way to the Premiership. It is perhaps harder to buy the Championship than the Prem as the discrepancy in income caused by the TV deals means that Prem wages will always be so high that it is virtually impossible to tempt Prem quality players to Championship clubs. Swansea and Reading have shown that gradual improvement and good management are the best recipe for success.
QPR had a couple of multi-millionaires as owners before they sold the club after winning promotion. Southampton were in the mire before the swiss billionaires took over, which got them back to back promotions to the prem. So cash is a big part of it, as well as good management. Lambert got back to back promotions with Norwich because the board decided to gamble and give him cash. Midds wasted millions of parachute payments on Strachan and are strill trying to pick up the pieces.
We just sold our best talent or refused to offer decent contracts to our best players forcing them out of the door. We've taken 8 steps backwards and however good your manager is, he can't do it with his hands tied behind his back
Yes Doc - In the 2 seasons Warnock was at QPR they posted a trading loss of £70M!!!
Yeah Doc but these poor decisions happened under the last owners watch nothing to do with our newbies! Lets just sit back and enjoy the ride, no pleasing some people???
30 million. That's what we need big time.
Dublin, we'd settle for 5 mil right now.
We'd settle for £1M right now - and that would be twice as much as we spent in last 7 seasons!

Sad to see him sacked, but I guess the new owners mean business and they aren't prepared to gamble on whether or not Cotterill could be trusted with a big(ish?) budget.
He kept us up, he had one great night in Leeds, and he introduced us to Guedioura, so I'd say he did more good than bad, overall.
It's also great news that the new owners wish to rename the academy after Nigel Doughty - they are quite clearly listening to the fans already.
Well at least you know who they are now Al - well you knew all along - its only our seedy outfit that doesn't inform the fans f-all.
The new potential owners have asked for an exclusivity deal and anonymity - but they have revealed themselves to the group that the club has banned though
Hope your club gets its act together.
Leeds are a huge club.
Cheers pal - so do we.
Trouble is, you are a step ahead of us now and even if we do get SUTABLE rich owners, you'll have bought all the good ones already!
