If Rangers go into the 3rd it's over for them as a going concern.

1st division is a lifeline for them.

I'm happy with the 3rd division and I agree with dos that it is the only way to ensure that real, well thought out reform is made to the Scottish game.

Its also the only way to ensure that we eventualy return to an open competetive top league as a team able to compete. When this does eventually happen I am positive we could negotiate a far better tv deal for a better product without the hand cuffs it currently has.

With that said here comes the big fat hypocrite if we were offered div 1 sanction free would I take it? Yes I would!

Reading St3vie then fans are waiting to see where you'll end up before buying season tickets, Why?
Surely it doesn't matter where you play.

Div3 spells the end of Rangers, I want you punished not exterminated, short-sightedly believing that 'starting again' will make you stronger is a myth, fickle fans will be lost forever and you won't be able to pay the basic bills with 250 pre-ordered season tickets.

Every season you're out of the SPL your supporters will drift away, they won't cough up the pounds to watch utter dross.

If/when the newco go to div 1 they will never recover from it.

Forever tainted.

Personally I am waiting on the announcement before purchasing a ticket.

If its div 3 I will apply for one with no hesitation if its division 1 its no longer a no brainer for me.

I know its only rangers fans opinion that we will be stronger in the 3rd but in this case we are the only people qualified to give one.

you have no idea the siege mentality the sheer frenzy for bloodlust has created amongst rangers fans. I can't even explain how I feel about it and only rangers fans understand.

This is the reason crowds will not fade away and I accept I won't be able to convince you or any other non rangers fan for that matter as no other fans will understand.

Thats right, none of us love our club the way Rangers fans love their club...

Div.3 will be the death of Rangers.

posted on 12/7/12

That's exactly my point hector no other clubs fans will have gone through anything like this.

Its fine though I know I can't make you understand because you haven't been through what we have.

Take yer own advice hector if that's the best you have.

Look forward to the super phoenix rangers proving you wrong no matter how many years it takes.

As I said im happy to concede on this because I know you won't understand

With regard to the op I would not blame a single one of the clubs for voting in their own best interest this has crap has been forced on them.

I wouldn't even blame them if they don't vote us in at all and send the whole sorry mess back to the SFA where it belongs.

How many season books do you think Rangers will sell Dos

Keep telling yerselves that, you will survive on a few thousand fans but as a force you will be spent.

What difference does it make what league you are in before buying your book? You're all loyal true and blue, get digging deep.

"do you think football fans change their team"

No.

We will see, can't see the Blue Order lads bouncing about V Stirling Albion and their 21visitors.

The reason I think Rangers should go to L1 is that because of all the financial irregularities it is fair that they get demoted or large points deduction (which would amount to the sme thing). This would mean that you would be in L1 next season. So justice would have been served. Why should the players that have stayed be punished with L3 football.

It would also be a poke in the eye for the rats who left that after just one season they could have been part of the team that put Rangers back in the SPL where they belong rather than scuttle off to whoever would have them.

Hector you obviously have far to much money or are immune to the recession but as dos said cost is a huge reason not to be able to renew.

I like many others have to count every penny and until I know the cost I can't commit sadly.

I'm glad you don't have to worry about such things

Hector, I would imagine a number of people are waiting to buy their books until it is decided which league they are playing in as it will obviously affect the price. Why would anyone pay SPL prices for L1 or L3 season ticket when they can wait a few more days.

Its not as if the decision rests on how many season tickets are sold.

posted on 12/7/12

Hopefully hector by the time gets get back I can afford a full price season book and get back to a proper rivalry.

Won't be the same over the next few years without the banter

Would you sack Alistair,if he fails to get out of the 3rd div at the first attempt?

Billy Normal won't be loyal and true after the first flush of collective unity wears off and the reality of your predicament sinks in, choose to believe otherwise and I call you naive.

Div.1 see's you punished and guarantees that you have a future, 12 months (minimum) and you could be back to settle your scores.
