Can i take it you wont be impressed if he ends up at our place then Igor? To be honest i totally agree he is an absolute tool but not a bad player on his day its gotta be said, anyway if it does happen stay clear of the Postal Order lads it would be bound to kick off ha ha ha

The man is sc_um. Sounds hash but the only word fitting enough to describe such a vile human being. Thinks the sun shines out of his ar_se! Would he be a useful addition to the squad? If he kept his mouth shut, lay off twitter and was focused just on football maybe but controversy follows Barton wherever he goes and we're turning into a joke of a club anyway and the last thing we need is him getting us in the papers. It’s a no from me

Also isn’t he still banned for 10 games? I’m presuming that ban still applies in the Championship. Wouldn’t make any sense in signing him………….therefore it must be true!

13 games more like, and yes while I don't doubt his ability as a footballer, he lives on planet Barton.

posted on 13/7/12

When i heard the report earlier it actually mentioned that he is eligible to play in the Championship as the ban is for the Prem only??? Dont know if thats the case and it also now appears he would be on loan for a season not a permanent deal

Whilst I do not question his ability as a footballer I dislike him for many reasons - the violent assults, his Twitter antics, his general attitude and just his stupid face.

I wouldn't want him anywhere near Ewood Park, playing for us or not.

He doesn't deserve the privilege of being a footballer after all the stuff he's done. He's a disgrace to football.

Didn't he have his QPR contract terminated so he's a free agent?

Yeah - don't like him and whilst a useful player, one who has wasted his talent through his own devices. I think its the lack of humility that gets me most - he's done stupid things without particularly having any redeeming behaviour.

I know planet football has a strange sense of 'fairness' but surely, if he is playing or on loan at Rovers, how can he be serving his ban in the Premiership? How would he be eligible to play for QPR if he is warming up at Ewood?

Having said all that lads if he did come to us how long would it be before he chinned Steve Kean? looking at it that way lets get him on board eh! Could you also imagine him and Morten on the first day they trained together

**********************************************************
How long before he falls out with players and management and ends up rotting in the reserves for the rest of the season on massive wages……………….!

Yes and also chins Steve Kean

Sign him on. One more nutter to add to the Venky's, Kean, Agnew, Shaw and Singh, but at least this one can play a bit.

He would also put a rocket under the squad players who feel it is perfectly acceptable not to give 100% in every game.

Thanks OOJW and as i said earlier i totally agree that he is a proper tool and it can go either way when dealing with Barton but are we really in position to be choosy? come on lets be honest i cant believe the 3 lads we have already signed agreed to come, especially after last season debacle and who is still in charge

For me I only judge people on their behaviour at our club. I appreciate this is not a view shared by some.

EHD was a similar player who behaved well whilst at Rovers. Players like Andy Todd and Keith Gillespie were known for being hotheaded but behaved at the Rovers for the most, whilst our manager is a convicted drink driver / court liar, Givet has just been done for drink driving and Goodwillie is either up in court soon for assault or has recently been sentenced.

Meanwhile our owners and the likes of Derek Shaw are milling around as well and you can draw your own conclusions as to their suitability for their respective positions.

So casting judgment on Barmpot Barton is all well and good as long as the same exacting standards are applied elsewhere. I think he would fit in brilliantly with the classless shower we now believe perfectly suited to the Rovers.

Well, well!I really think that this is a complete madhouse at our club.If this was a tv serial or film it would be a smash hit and comedy, could gross millions, yet it is its true and Our Club Blackburn Rovers.

It does beg the question though Oojw - apparently the messiah didn't like Diouf's antics yet we are interested in Barton...

Horrible person, but, 10 Joey Bartons would be fun when we play the dingles.

The guy should have been banned for life after nearly blinding that youth player. I know we've signed some idiots in the past but this guy is just a disgrace to humanity.

posted on 14/7/12

The guy is a muppet. There are numerous much quieter and more respecting players who would beat ten shades of sh|t out of him if really provoked. He reminds me of one of those annoying little yappy dogs that just bark and growl at your feet until you look them in the eye and then they back off.
