Yes sounds to me like he knows as lots do, who they are and has spoken to them. Or how would he Know all this?

posted on 13/7/12

I suspect he'll have to prove himself to any new owners who will, sensibly, reserve judgement on whether he's to be trusted with the purse strings.

I don't think it's allowed under FFP rules, it's likeley we may not be able to spend what we would need to guarantee as best we can a 1st attempt promotion.

Hopes promotion this season

Head says year to build and go up next season.

Don't know when PL join FFP rules but it will make it harder to stay up once it starts I don't think strategic self sponsorship will be allowed then.

The FFP rules allow them to pump £6m into the team this year. Take that into account of the massive turnover we have and we should be able to compete with most teams for funds. Also they can buy back ER and TA without it affecting FFP and this would reduce outgoings on rent so even more money for the team. I even hope Bates wins a court case and we recover money from the Cops. I mean £1m a year for them to have horses walking up an down Lowfields is rediculous.

No he's only he till end of the season

If they did not trust him he would be gone 100% as soon as they come in and would not cost much cos he's only got 1 season.

As seen at Watford and forest. They don't mess around or let you prove it any more.

The ffp starts after this season?

Meme

Just like you Said yep know who it was and that been proved wrong

Warnock might know but not many at all do

Spot On JA, Especially the buy back, that would definitely be a show of intention from any new owner.
Apparently KB was making a fortune selling the horse muck to B&Q and the cops wanted their share

By the way under the new ffp rules you are able to spend whatever you want

Not going tell you is he? No I don't know

So you don't think it's who they say now?

Nice one on the buy back.

posted on 13/7/12

I didn't ask him who it was, I said I wouldmt expect him to say.

I said did he know 100% and said no

And regarding is it this sheik, couldn't be, and more than likely it is but not a certainty

So is the DD taking time as the "investors" are trying to buy, several separate units of the club as opposed to Forests which may have been much more straight forward.

The way I understand FFP it's 6 Million Losses allowed with 3 million gifted by owner. I agree if all our elements of the club are bought we have more scope to work with.

The FFP rules are in this season Meme. But a bit different to how I understood them

White you can spend what you want, you just get taxed on anything above 6m

posted on 13/7/12

He's not going say yes because that's just stupid.

Yes I know but can't tell you. So all you will do is keep asking him.

It will come out when it's done you see.

So it will start this season However, there will be no sanctions implemented during the first two seasons (2012/13 and 2013/14) in order to give clubs a sensible period of transition.

So nothing will change next season?

LIW

If anyone breaks the limit and don't go up it appears you get a transfer embargo until you fall in line. So failure isn't an option.

posted on 13/7/12

But from December 1st 2014) will be subject to a transfer embargo.

posted on 13/7/12

You get taxed if promoted. If you remain in the Championship I understand the punishment could be points loss at the extreme end or transfer embargo. So is it worth overspending one year as could affect the next.

posted on 13/7/12

So you think not one club will be overspending next season?

posted on 13/7/12

I'm sure some will overspend but they'll have to make sure they overspend well, if they buy rubbish and fail they get to work with the same the next season. It may explain why we still need to look at a few cheap end fees to start with. Keep powder dry until we have been taken over.

Also why say to other clubs "We're rich now, Whack up your prices" I imagine prices rise for any Man City/Chelsea enquiries

posted on 13/7/12

Don't you think £6m is overspending!!! That's equal to the years wages for some teams, ie Barnsley.

posted on 13/7/12

what amazes me isn't that people expect us to do a city but that anyone still expects this investment/takeover to happen.

posted on 13/7/12

more chance of it stopping raining than this deal going through

posted on 13/7/12

Looks like he's doing with us what he did at QPR - Took over in March 10 (when transfer window was shut) but got well busy after - problem was he didn't get rid of the surplus at QPR and took their wage bill from £11m to £30m.
