Pietersen Should Not Be Allowed Back!

I agree, however sadly whilst our ODI side looks ok in England we will need KP for when we play on the Sub Con when our current top 3 could slow things down too much when 300 + will be needed. I would rather not see him come back in, however he will be needed.

I welcome him back with open arms

I hope he doesn't come back and I suspect Andy Flower feels the same.

You don't like him hopefor?

I know our team can manage fine without him but he is a character and it has always been good having him around, with the 3 lions tattooed on his body and embroidered on his shirt.

We are a better team with him. He retired and changed his mind. He wss wrong but lets be honest, others have committed worse sins. It's not like he cheated or caused a huge team upheavil.

I would have him back but he needs telling, doesn't just fit in where he wants and needs to grow up a bit.

This about turn has created a difficult situation whatever the outcome might be. If the ECB accept his return what will the other players feel, if the ECB say no he will bring a long glum face into the England dressing room.
He's talented but has never been a team player.

We're doing just fine without him

Hope, very true and a valid point.

As a fan, I cannot look beyond the following:

Are England a better outfut with Pieterson.

The answer for me is 'yes' therefore he has to come back in.

The rest are morale and consistency issues and I feel sorry for the ECB who yave done nothing wrong.

A bit cheeky of a pakistan fan writing an article such as this, considering the amount of pakistan players that have done a u-turn in the past and have been welcomed back with open arms by pakistanis.......

I agree Neon, he does.

But so do many international cricketers and sportsmen.

The Ego Has Landed.... Again!

As much as I admire KP as a cricketer on the field; his actions off the field are somewhat suspect and never far from controversy - especially during his short reign as captain not so long ago.

He can't just changing his mind every time the wind blows in a different direction. I sometimes wonder if he is trying to purposely attractive attention from the media because he likes the spotlight. He likes to think that England - in all forms of the game - just can't cope without him being in the side. He considers himself as a Super Hero from those Marvel Comics: "is it a bird? is it a plane? No! It's SuperKP!!!!"

If the ECB let him dictate terms, then it will just create more resentment within the team, to the point where other players might go down the same KP road and behave like petulant kids.

A piece in Daily mail suggests the answer will be no unless Pietersen give firm assurances about him playing all games when asked.

"Tell him to feck off"

Since we're telling people to feck off; feck off Once In A Lifetime. Enough of this no man bigger than the team/ England don't need him horse$hit.

Cricket needs its best players playing on the biggest stage. When I fork out £50 to watch England I want to see Kevin Pietersen.

If we have to make concessions on his schedule then fine. Get Kevin Pietersen back in an England ODI shirt.

here here hazsa. Totally agree with that. The man is a legend and is still fit, strong and in tremendous form.

Let's find out what he is thinking, try to work something out and get him back at number four in our team.
