The Financial effect of Rangers in 3rd div

TCD - the 3rd div was the LEAST most Celtic fans wanted! You were all spouting sporting integrity and you know what, all decent Rangers fans bought into it and agreed!

Yeah sure we could see it was a dumb idea but ALL fans had their say and ALL clubs had their say! You cannot now come on and say its the Gers fans fault!
You cannot come on and say its the clubs fault since in many of your postings you advise we dont exist! So please screw your neck in and wonder how Lennys champs got chumped tonight and do one! Jeez you change your views on this more often than the Scottish weather! We cannot be to blame for everything despite how it suits your downtrodden, angry wee man mentality! You gloried in our demise as we will now glory in yours!

What goes around my man!!!!

Im unaware of any proof of that.

Just bitter zombies saying that it's true

Could have???

If that happened, Hmrc would not have been owed enough to knock bk our cva proposal , and we could have avoided liquidation

Well it's been a running joke about rangers having double contracts and EBT'S.

Do you think rangers are guilty of that??

Where's the integrity in a newco going straight to spl?
Make yer mind up FFs

Buzz,

You have still not answered, why are you so convinced that sky will be willing to pay the same value for half the return?

Mitre

We know why he won't answer that

posted on 15/7/12

TCD - how can you sanction a newco? would it be like woolworths reopening but not allowed to sell picnmix?

Clintons cards reopening but not allowed to sell cards?

Your comparison of a crime is not a fair and genuine one as the directors of the club have all gone, and a newco has been formed!

Integrity...

That left when Murray arrived and Rangers started to be subsidised by the BOS, MIH, ENIC and finally, HMRC

I've mentioned it twice, scottish rugby get more money from sky with much lower viewers.

Simple...to enter the top division, there has to be a forfeit

It was my personal opinion but, maybe I was being selfish. Pumping you lot 4 times a season for the forseeable future would have been fun

Scottish rugby???

Do sky show Scottish rugby or Scottish teams playing in a British / European league?

At least u think we would have made top 6

I've mentioned it twice, scottish rugby get more money from sky with much lower viewers -irrelevant! Perhaps Scottish rugby have better negotiators than SPL! Not really hard to believe given how they tried to "sell" Rangers in the 1st division and failed miserably!

To enter the top division you would have to throw "sporting intregrity" out the window! We would have to tolerate forever being told "special treatment" was given and we should not be there. So sorry mate thats a definite no go!

It's great to hear such desire to go the third division.

No need to keep going on about it though.

Sky make 7 million per 10,000 subscribers per year. It's not unfeasible that 100,000 subscribers would cancel should they try to renegotiate and plunge Scottish football into meltdown. So £70 million per year minimum fir a £16 million outlay hmmmm !

Sky are many things but stupid isn't one of them - there is already talk of uniting the supports of every club to organise this to fight for the national sport. The majority of rangers fans care not for our game so I doubt you'll be asked

Buzz, what does the rugby have to do with it?

It would make sense for sky to pay over the odds for a national rugby league for protectional purposes. If this contract went to a national broadcaster then it could grow and impact sky's other schedule due to the diversity of local teams nation wide.

Sky will have paid what they needed to to beat the next biggest bidder for the rugby. The spl has just become less valuable to all bidders, so they need to offer less to keep it, or allot less to hope someone else takes it on.

Tim - so you want us to ignore the question when its raised or perhaps only offer a partial answer? It seems only seeing half the answer is what will cause the demise of the SPL without the daddy club!

Perhaps! and its only just an idea, if you cant cope with the answers then dont come on the board!

Division 3 you all wanted us there now youve got it you cant handle it! SPL is nothing without the Gers! The league and the debating board!
