I like Murray, I'm tired of all celebrities/sportsman being the same polished PR robots.

He clearly doesn't give a toss, and I reckon he'd be good craic if you were hanging out with him day to day

Just seems a normal bloke who's incredibly good at tennis

Mighty - But with Murray having got to the first Wimbledon final in the men's in over 80 years you think he might have a chance.

Murray still has the US Open to go for as well, which is his best chance of a title. Win Olympic gold and the US Open and he will be in with a shout.

jason kenny could be a contender if he wins the individual sprint, his was the key lap in the team sprint win as well

What a day

Football Only disappointment, really.

Maybe 2 more in cycling to come?

Wiggins has muttonchops.

Enough said, surely?

I'd give SPOTY to Amir Khan, he has given me so much enjoyment over the past year

Did Brazil beat Honduras in the end?

posted on 4/8/12

I reckons Ennis could win SPOTY given that she was the face of these Olympics for us and dominated so much. Either her or Wiggins, I reckon.

Spurtle - just getting to the final isn't enought IMO - could argue that Mo is more worthy as he's the 1st Brit to win the 10k in over 100 yrs

BLB, yeah. Honduras had another player sent off as well.

Thankfully there won't be a single golfer this year

JPB, that doesn't mean anything.

Farah has to go round a track 26 times.
Bolt only has to do a quarter of a lap.

Does that mean Bolt isn't as good an athlete?

so it looks like tennis and sailing tomorrow arvo, and more athletics in the evening. superb

posted on 4/8/12

If you want to see us flop in penalties, go ahead

I'd stick to the athletics

you believe that then.

there are tens of millions of people who regard the tour de france as the toughest elite sporting event in thr world and the premier annual sporting event in the world.

who can say the same about the 4 laps round the velodrome ? it's a mickey mouse event.

Uuuurrrrgggghhh! Just noticed how close Farah was to rolling his head into that clobber that the American had spat out.
