Now not trying to bash the girls here To compete in an Olympic Triathlon and still run faster than the girls is quite frankly an embarrassment to the female s£x

Doesn't say much that Malcolm is still our best 200m runner.

Our middle distance running has been p!ss poor at these Olympics, along with our swimming. Those are the only low points for me on our overall performance.

Could you imagine if a white bloke won the 100m or 200m? They'd test him for doping straight after the race!

Spurtle, I would sadly agree. Though the Glasgow swimmer done well with the silver.

Young Elish McColgan in 3,000m Steeplechase will be one to watch in the future.

It is distance running I am worried about, with the exception of Farah. I haven't seen an signs of anyone approaching a high calibre middle distance runner coming through and up the distance as they approach 30.

reckon that's my biggest dissapointment him not getting gold. if he knew what he was capable of reckon he would have gone out that bit harder and would have won it.

also reckon addlington could have won the 400 as she was coming back like a train as well down the last length.

smith on the pommell was a shame too.

obv feel for pozzi today too.

we've still got a chance of a medal in the W1,500.

This is what we hope to change through these Olympics though right?

Apart from the Scottish swimmer and Adlington nobody in the swimming even got PB's, that's the worst thing about it.

What needs to be considered in the swimming is that a couple of games ago we were not getting anyone in finals. Whereas in this games we have featured in almost every single final and picked up some medals. This has to be viewed as an improvement even if it isn't the improvement we all want to see. Look at Australia, in Sydney they demolished the swimming and now they have one gold. We have to face that other countries currently have better structures set up for swimming and bigger talent pools. It's the challenge we face.

The thing about distance running is that you don't get many people suddenly bursting on the scene at 10k or marathon. So you look at who is currently running middle distance events with a view to them moving up.

Can anyone explain to me what on earth this pony thing is about?

we did get 2 golds last time, but i get your point.

the shame for me was that we had 2 who could of got gold this time but didnt quite.

jamieson's perofrmance is still one of the highlights of the whole games for me, even though it was such a shame that he left himself just too much to do to win gold. he must have a good chance of becoming britain's best ever male swimmer.
