Why on earth did they waste thousands of pounds (tax payer money) importing hundreds and hundreds of tonnes of rock from Greece and other countries for this mountain bike course in Essex when they could've just held it in the highlands of Scotland, or in Wales or anywhere else where there are already to notch courses.

It wouldn't have cost an extra penny and it would've made the games that wee bit more accessible to the rest of the country. Complete waste of money.

Also that diving commentator's pretty camp isn't he? Nearly as camp as Colin. I like his enthusiasm though. Nearly always get's his predictions for the scores right

mens' diving in general is pretty camp imo.

It is the London games, hence why most of the action was held in London.

Whilst I haven't actively participated on this thread, I still read it whenever possible and having watched a lot of Olympics lately, I dare to give my nominations. Here I go:

Favourite moment: Andy Murray and the crowd reaction to Jessica Ennis winning (absolutely amazing). Plus the German discus throwing champion gold medal celebration. I know he's German but you couldn't make that up

most disappointing: some of the judges decisions in fencing/judo/artistic gymnatsics/boxing and a druggie getting bronze in 100 mts. Also, Cavendish's team and some of BBC 's interviewers
