Go Tom Daley
Everyone's favourite ginger long jumper Greg Rutherford is jumping later today
Gymnasts are some of the more underrated athletes, the upper body strength required is pretty incredible
Home nations are doing well so far
Double commentary on the gymnastics, what's going on?
Afternoon kitty, I've noticed you only turn up for male gymnastics you wiley coot
I've been watching allsorts today
I marvel at their strength.
The pommel horse is proving to be tricky for some
Whitlock doing very well, he could get 90+
Even given home advantage ive come to the conclusion that many commonwealth events are not that high a standard...hence our high medal returns...or am I being a bit critical...?
Yes, probably, although there are some world class competitors in some events - and you can only beat what's in front of you. I enjoy being able to cheer England on, whilst still appreciating the competitors of other nations.
Plus, there are some sports which hardly get any tv time, i.e. mountain biking, shooting etc.and others which aren't Olympic events like Squash, so these Games are their pinnacle this year. (I suppose they have World Championships?).
It is also a very big event for the smaller island nations
canada womens hockey mange thier first shot of the game, with 12 mins left
