ohh right
well i gave you 4 s
fair enough mate
i kind of agree with what youre saying and kind of dont.
as one poster has said, there's a point of view that bolt is the best because he's the quickest (although that disregards the other events which some of the others were competing at). i thought it relevant though to compare athletes to their peers and those who had gone before them, and flo jo would come in on this basis just because she was at least 30 years ahead of her time
Don't know wether you've considered "jake the peg", or would he not be considered on account of his "extra leg".
hello....we seem to be having some problems with the line...hello
or would he not be considered on account of his "extra leg".

Usain Bolt has 3
Don't know wether you've considered "jake the peg", or would he not be considered on account of his "extra leg".
====================
I would personally not disqualify him from consideration on account of his having a wooden leg, however he is at least 1000% slower than any of the finalists (estimate) and has not won any olympic medals.
JPB-Spur, she never got caught as drug testing was not high on the agenda back then.
Just to remind you that the very day the IAAF told the world they were changing their own drug policy and for the first time there were going to be doing out of competition drug testing, Flo Jo retired that same day
Carl lewis has won more than the rest put together when it comes to olyimpic and world medals
through evolution man will continue to get faster and im sure in 100 yrs time they will be running close to 9 sec
JPB-Spur. So much better than a tea boy. (U1059)
How on earth is Ed Moses (absolute legend that he is) a sprinter?
===============
Do you think Colin Jackson is a sprinter ?
--------------------------
Although primarily a hurdler (which is NOT sprinting) he took part in sprinting events(4x100m?), didn't he? So, yes, I suppose. Ed Moses a sprinter
400m runners are regarded as sprinters.
110m hurdlers are regarded as sprinters.
Although 400m hurdlers are not technically regarded as sprinters, they certainly have sprinting skills, and for a "who's the greatest" comparison, I dont see that it is unreasonable to include a 400 hurdler in a category with other athletes who took part in sprint disciplines.
Good article JPB, i will say 4
The greatest sprinter doesnt have to be the fastest, if so, the article title would be "Fastest ever Sprinter" and have one option wich would be "Bolt"
I think lews was the greatest, he was the complete athlete and competed in so many events.

That is news to me, got a link?
All sorts of sports involve sprinting, that does not make them sprinters.

I dont care if it's news to you, it's not your article.
If you dont think Moses is the greatest sprinter, dont vote for him
The top modern-day athletes have it easy. It's handed to them on a plate with all of their sponsorships, sports council grants etc. They don't have to deal with racial or colour prejudice nowadays. The facilities are there for them along with trainers, dieticians and medical care.
Top sprinter ever...easy!
James Cleveland Owens.
And he really peed-off a certain Mr Hitler!
He should have got another gold medal for that.
I considered putting him in Goad, but he didnt strike me as having done anything out of the ordinary - certainly in comparison with the 5 athletes described in the article.
who's 4197 ? is that Kimchi ?
goadocwatson
good answer
I had forgot about him, JPB I want to change my vote to Owens

I just asked for a link or reference that says short-hurdling is regarded as a form of sprinting.
Afaik it's not (??) but am ready to be corrected - hence why I asked.
No idea why you're being so rude about it, enjoy your 'it's MY article'.
Yes it's kimchi.
Goodnight to you, you
P.S. and cheer up eh?!
Goodnight to you, you
Kimchi
if carlsberg did signing off, that is exactly how they would do it

I dont know why you'd do it like that Oddiy. Kmichi has come on and stuck his oar in, not me.
The 110m hurdle is known as "sprint hurlding". There's references to it all over the internet including wikipedia and various athletics sites.
Kimchi - If your comments were intended less negatively than I interpreted them, then apologies if I sounded a little frisky. no, not frisky.....errr.....a little.....moody
Sorry, I may have been a bit short myself JPB, I didn't mean to be - it was a genuine question, perhaps badly put. I have been posting here between legging it around the village after a gang of little thugs who are chucking things at our flat, so I was probably terse, and left out my usual smileys. No rudeness meant mate
Someone nearly took my head off (literally) last year with an empty 1ltr Baileys bottle so it doesn't put me in the best of moods, especially as I never like to involve the police (I much prefer to catch the little scallywags myself and shove some kimchi where the sun don't shine ).
Having watched him for years in my youth, I can't regard Moses as a sprinter in any sense of the word, and don't see 'sprint hurdling' as 'sprinting' any more than I see Bale jumping all those challenges as meaning he's a steeplechaser, but maybe that's me, and am always ready to be corrected and learn more
Until then I have voted 1 for Flojo as I have always had a kinky thing for chicks with....beards
Right I am back off to try to catch these little scrotes
Goodnight you bunch of ing s you...fecking s one and all
