Adam West was awesome in that.

Begins is superior for me because it does the impossible job of transforming a man into a Batman without daft ideas.

The training at the beginning with Neeson was great and the take on Scarecrows character was cleverly done.

The Dark Knight seemed bigger and louder. It also had the death of Ledger which made the Jokers character even more intriguing. But as far as story goes, Begins wins for me.

Begins seems more of a tale, and the madness gas escaping through the city seemed a bit far fetched for a realisitc portrayal of a super hero.

The Dark Knight has much more gritty realism. The villains in Joker and Dent are superior to Scarecrow and Al Ghul. It's not just a super hero film it's a gritty cat chases mouse film.

I agree with Ebert, Harvey Dent wasn't that good.

I also think his make-up was more far-fetched that the hallucinatuion gas in Begins

Batman begins; the sequel just seemed like 2 hours of Batman getting handed his backside.

it left an open ending for the The Dark Knight Rises?

They were both great films, Christopher Nolan is a director who finally understood the way Batman should be portrayed and made the transition from graphic novel to film work, which is more than can be said for that rubbish released by Tim Burton & Co.
My one issue with the new film is that Banes mask is for painkillers and not for the use of venom.

well i am a man of democracy. let's consult imdb...batman begins got 8.3 and the dark knight got 8.9. For me batman begins was quite possiblly one of the worst films that i have ever seen. michael caine should never been allowed to appear in the second one due to his performance in that! i would have preferred to have seen bob hospins in the alfred role!

Begins ending is great but the content of Dark Knight is better even though the end was awful!
--------

That's interesting because Knight had a very generic plot.

Begins had the challenge of introducing new characters and a complex plot.

TDK, although great, was simply a crazy guy vs Batman

'TDK, although great, was simply a crazy guy vs Batman'

If you strip it down, isn't that what comic books are about??
