Not sure there's been any striker celebrations.

Quo Vardis was no great shakes against Ossett Town

Speculations turned to celebrations by spell checker.

Is that Freudian or what?

The lad scored 25 from 20 I think last season despite playing on the left wing most of the time. However, he isn't exactly a prospect as he's 24/25 so would probably be expected to deliver straight away. Halifax have had interest from quite a few clubs from all 3 football league divisions.

Halifax are resigned to losing him. He's obviously a fair player but Novak would have scored more for Halifax and has way out of his depth at Town.

I work with a lad that watches The Shaymen and he say's they turned down a bid of 300k from Doncaster, but I can't see that, they'd have ripped Donnys arm off.He says he got plenty of pace and is a decent finisher but its a bit of a step up.

I'm from Halifax and get to the odd game when I can.

Vardy is a class act for the level he plays at (23 in 10 league games last season, and 10 in 6 for Stocksbridge) would be one hell of a gamble at League One level for what money the Shaymen want for him. Personally if I was going to gamble on any Halifax player it would be James Dean who hit over 50 goals in the 2010 season. Sadly, he's pretty injury prone and age isn't really on his side.

Good players do come from that level though. Boyd, Mackail-Smith, Morison, Austin. It's just about being shrewd with the offer.

I'd rather Halifax kept all their players. A third successive promotion might just see them locking horns with Sadford in the 2013 Conference

Your all probably barking up the wrong tree,
I work over there, The mob i work for sub out painting/decorating jobs to local contractors, Who are run by a bloke/fan, who used to be on the board at HX, I speak with him occasionally about footy when he is estimating jobs and he said that " they were hoping Hudds would lend em a couple of players now they were back in the pyramid proper "
Perhaps Clarky was just having a look at our neighbours, how they play etc ?
