Demba bar Demba Cisse were good value.

Good buisness is where you find it "Clarence Boddicker"

Personally I think the fact we have confirmed bids for these players suggest we will definitely get at least one (even if its not one of these three). I know nothing is guaranteed but SAF would find it a lot easier to not sign all three if it were all behind the scenes but too lose out on all three in front of the media suggests he will ensure he gets someone he wants

Exactly Loz, I bet Aguero was value for money too. I think his transfer fee has increased and it will only keep growing as he's only 24. And United is far from broke, there's always money there for players as SAF has stated. We've just bid about 50m for two players ffs

If all three come in – who do we think will be shown the door? Park has gone – Berba I guess will go. Will Nani leave? Macheda?

When united said the money from the Ronaldo transfer was still there many united fans I know "including family" didn't believe them.

The state of what united say they have an actually have are two different figures.

All you can do is put your faith in fergie.

Agree, also your two buys, Powell young English, Kawaga probably bought more for marketing reasons although hes a good player.

Why just because he's Asian it means he's a money signing? Do you know how racist that is?

posted on 20/7/12

I don't think it's all cloak and dagger stuff lol I would be VERY surprised if SAF is playing games with the fans just to 'appease' us. He's much more sensible than that. If he was done, he would say so, hadn't been shy from it before.

But he won't buy for the sake of it, he's obviously identified what he wants and what the club is prepared to pay. If they don't come off, he'll make do with what he has and bide time until next time he can go in for someone he wants.

It's easy for fans to say just bid an extra £5 mill or £10 mill but transfers will be more complicated. I feel we will sign another player or two, that much seems pretty certain.

Who though is a different thing all together

Should we report this guy for racism?

Seriously this has to be the most irritating comment i read on here.

Kagawa is "one" of Europe's best attacking midfielders and has proved that over past two seasons.

Kagawa is one of Europe's best. Idiotic post Haroldinho89.

Are we the fans just mindless sheep believing anything the club tells us?

No. But most fans are just mindless sheep believing anything the press tells us.

Not being funny but there is a post on the united page about him fronting a Japanese credit card advert.

Don't get me wrong he's a quality Player but to ignore his commercial appeal is naive.

posted on 20/7/12

Loz the commercial appease is the cherry on the cake, I'm 100% certain the guy was brought in for footballing reasons rather than to sit on the bench selling shirts in the far east.

No doubt Arab I have read nothing but good things about his game, but it does make me laugh when united fans get narky when you mention the commercial side of signing him.

posted on 20/7/12

It's when people say that he was only bought to make money for the club instead of playing football which narks some of us.

posted on 20/7/12

Let the season start and then judge if he was bought for footballing reasons or commercial.

That's because some Utd fans know that our shirt deal with Nike doesn't matter how many shirt are sold we get a lump sum every year (very large lump sum)

He could sell 14 million shirts and we'd get same money from Nike.

He's be signed for footballing reasons, if you'd ever seen him play you would even question that.

Read again I wasn't questioning it!

I simply stated united fans get all defensive over it.
