Not surprised we had a poorer attendance last season. The team was losing, the football was awful and the whole club had a depressing vibe for a majority of the season. That puts people off, no team in the bottom quarters of the table realistically expects to have the greatest attendences week in week out.
I don't quite know where you're looking, but it states Forsest had the sixth-best away support in The Championship and Derby the eleventh.
1557 Forest
1174 Derby
yeah hence why I said we had the best average away support but derby actually had the highest of the two.
Ah.. I see.
I don't suppose it matters much anyway; those who want to bang on about attendance will continue to do so, regardless of facts, and we'll not stop reading about it over and over again.. You'll say "5-2" and we'll respond 'ten men' and around we go, same old, same old!
And then we come along and pi$$ all over both of your away attendance figures
...whilst having less home fans than us both AND it being your big "Man City of the Midlands" season: how'd that work out for you?
Let's factor in the fact that (a) we had an appalling season last season and (b) the free tickets for derby home games and Forest's support becomes more impressive still.
Strange how attendances are no longer a pet subject of derby fans.
I'm sure derby fans will disagree but there you go.
5-2. Ten Men. All in the past and therefore pretty irrelevant in my eyes. All that matters is what happens in the next game.
Yes, Leicester do have a very impressive away attendance record. I hope that knowledge has satisfied you. However what these stats show is that all our clubs are well supported for our relative positions in English football.
However arguments over higher and lower attendances won't stop any Forest, Derby or Leicester fan from being any less passionate about their club.
I am very impressed with the Sheffield clubs, extremely hardy fans!
Huh?! Surely our home averages weren't lower than forests last season? Could you double check that for me 666
Then again, we don't get much of an atmosphere down the King Power nowadays so we go looking for some elsewhere in numbers
Just out of interest, are you doing your 'handy guides' again this season
And those stats don't take into account us breaking the record for away fans at the City Ground OR Stamford Bridge last season (8,000 and 6,000+ respectively)
wasn't that for the FA cup match in January though? What a horrible month that was.
Hell it was a god awful season.
JAFox - to be fair, the Forest / Chelsea games you cite were exceptional games for leicester fans...."Cup Finals" if you will.
Odd you should mention it, JA Fox...

I suppose taking over 6,000 to Coventry on the opening day of the season was a cup final too tonto
Well Cov are your rivals aren't they?
M69 derby and all that?
What have you lot done with the real Tonto?! why has he mellowed so much in the last couple of days?? What's going on here?!
Sad but true JAF.
I've taken a big chill pill.
Not to say that I'm totally adverse to a bit of banter. Just a little less.
Fairplay mate, nice to see there was allways a bit of sense to be had out of you afterall
They'd only argue about who took the biggest overnight bag
As long as I'm big spoon and he's little spoon I'm down with that
