Hibbert--------Heitinga---------Jags----------Baines
-------------------------Gibson----------------------------
Osman--------------Fellaini---------------------Pienaar
----------------------Naismith (although I think not fit yet)
-----------------------Jelavic---------------------------------
Actually with our David desperate for funds and Cahill going not enough on its own to retrieve Pienaar, it looks like Johnny is also on his way although it is the Turks interested and after Yobo I would insist on cash up front. So who goes in defence for Heitinga?
I think we could end up losing out on Pienaar aswell if we don't get a move on. We are fast becoming a laughing stock when it comes to transfers. Assuming we get him and don't lose anyone, I would line up as follows:
-------------------Howard-------------------
-----------Jags-----------Heitinga----------
Hibbert-------------------------------Baines
-------------Gibson----Rodwell-------------
Osman-----------Fellaini----------Pienaar
--------------------Jelavic-------------------
Looks pretty good to me but as I said, it's looking more and more like unless Joey Yobo finds a club we can't fund a move for Peanuts so the above team may not be possible.
Heitinga move is just a silly tabloid rumour. If Mayes is selling him to fund a move for Pienaar then we must be in trouble....plus he only leaves himself with two senior CB's with Duffy as cover.
Apparently Fenerbahce only want one or the other, not both. £1m + £1.5m (Yobo) = Pienaar money.
Can't believe anof you are proposing Hibbo gets a start this season. That is definitely one position we need a new signing for, also the only position where P Nev would get a start if everyone is fit so he would be above Hibbo in the pecking order. It'll be:
Howard
Neville Jags Heitinga Baines
Rodwell Gibson
Osman Fellaini Pienaar
Jelavic
And a one all draw.
please pick up a point in this game!!!!!!!!
Lets not get on at Hibbo. All the cash Moyes has had to spend and Hibbo is the one who has not been pushed aside/replaced. He is limited going forward, but we have such a good LB does it matter?
His defensive side more than makes up for his lack of attacking quality
Come on PJS, I love him just as much as you, been a great servant blah blah blah, if we want to be pushing for a european place (I've put my money on a top6 finish at 16/5 with paddy power) then we have to have a better right back than Hibbo. He only looks good making last ditch tackles which, if he had any positional sense, he wouldn't have to make. Plus he was slow anyway, he's only going to get slower.
As I said great servant but we need better. By the by, would it be worth speaking to Tottenham about Danny Rose, he looks a right prospect if you ask me, even on loan.
