agreed 100% I for one am not a footballing pro the guys we've bought transferred etc are because NW wanted them the fact he has such a good record means I trust him...might not be pretty..might not be graceful but it will be effective
too be honest, am astounded that after watching 2 years of rubbish and selling our best players every season, thats people still fall for the same cr a p.
I bet you LIW that NW's team is better then the one he was left by Grayson.
I'll put a pint on it that we end up higher than we did last season with that shower at the back.
than the one - bought a new meme keyboard yesterday
I agree with Stoopo on this one!
stoopo
we ended up 14th under warnock dont forget.
Having a squad better than what grayson left, isnt what i want.
I want a squad that wins promotion.
THIS IS NOWHERE NEAR THAT AT THE MOMENT
If Becchio gets injured (which is highky likely) which of the players Neil has assembled is going to score more than 10 goals?
LIW
I can see where you are coming from but I trust NW to get these players (and the ones he's going to get) to be better as a team than they are individually. It's just something he's good at doing.
He's building from the back. Has now almost completed the midfield and is ready to start on the attack.
I think with another 2 or 3 good signings we will be there or there abouts at Xmas and then kick on with another good signing or two in January - for the push.
YW - NW has said one of his priorities is another striker ASAP.
Why can't you just wait and see how he's going to set the team up, and until the rest of his players have signed. Agree that its taken longer than expected, but its happening. What use were our midfield last season when all we saw was teams walking through us and having nobody at the back. How many goals did they create???
Warnock was not going to use Snodds soley on the wing and Varney is for replacing his goals. By the time we have Austin who can stop, distribute, create and score goals I think you'll find that he's twice the player Clayton was. Check out some stats to see how much posesion we had last season and you'll find we were chasing shadows for most of it, and not creating.
Everyone banged on about Nunez last summer because he was the biggest name we signed ffs, and we know how that went.
I'll give Warnock a kicking if the team let us down, but think we should all stop banging on and leave him to get on with it. He's working his backside off at the minute with his hands tied behind his back, because the t/O hasn't been completed. He's also said that he expects Leeds to be a much bigger club than Norwich in12-months and that to me says he's he's going for promotion this season. He's also been convinced that he'll have the backing to do what he wants to do.
Lets all just cut him some slack and cross our fingers. A team isn't one or two star players it's a team of 10 outplayers, playing as an organised unit who can create, score and defend as a unit.

Hudds pull out of Peltier chase. Leaves it open for us if we make a bid big enough.
When i look at QPR's & Norwich's squads from 2010/11 and Southampton's from last season i didnt see them as promotion winning squads.
I saw them as hard working and experienced...with a smattering of youth.
Im not happy with the people we are selling but thats football, thats life and that's what i see in the squad Neil is building.
It is not just if becchio gets injured
Its at the back as well. We have no good back ups do we?
And if becchio gets injured that only leaves gray and who ever we get.
Well said Doc!
Warnock would not be here (trust me on this - I know how close he was to walking) unless he had got the assurances he did. Let him build his team from the back to the front. It will be all new apart from maybe White, Becchio and Lees (with others on the bench from last season's team).
Jud - The QPR team with the likes of Helgurson, Buzasky, Tarabt, Faurlin, Hulse, Chimbonda, Shittu, Routledge etc etc.
They were 2-1 favourited to go up for a reason
meme - which part of Warnock stating he was desperate to sign another forward don't you understand?
We will not start the season without an adequate back up / partner for Becchio
Trouble is Stoopo - looks like he will have to sell McCormack to do it. Would rather keep McCormack as we know he will score his share!!
If Ross is sold and we get a new player in.
Becchio gets injured. That leaves just Gray. Till somma gets back.
And as I have said what back up do we have at the back? It is not much at all.
Yes or no?
Can we sign players that other teams want please??
Need a top rated striker to come in
YoungWhite...If we signed Chimbonda or Hulse there would be uproar...exactly the type of players (Gray / Drury) we are signing now?
Helgerson, Taabart & maybe Routledge (who i dont rate at all) are all decent players, Taabart you could argue does more bad than good for a team....maybe i was wrong about them but i dont remember them being 2nd favourites for any other reason than they were expected to spend money with the wealthy owners.
Norwich & Southampton had very similar squads to what we have in my opinion?!
Jud - They were made favourites after Warnock had added 10 players to the squad in pre-season (did not sell any) and their wage bill went from £11M to £30M

Ask yourselves, if we were in QPR's position in 2010, and we signed 32 year old Derry, 31 year old Hill, players like Mackie (from relegated Plymouth), Orr from Bristol, would you have been saying the same things about them as you are about Norris, Varney, Drury etc.?
They turned out to be fantastic signings. Lets wait and see what happens. Warnock says he wants to get in 1 or 2 big signings, so lets wait. There's no point complaining about the squad when he hasn't finished his transfer work. Also, wait to see how the team starts playing. If these 'not good enough' signings are awful, fair enough, but they might be good or work well within NW's system.
My sentiments, exactly, Best Fans.
To put it another way, once the fixtures came out I was apprehensive about how we might fare in a number of games (the usual suspects: ie, Cardiff, Leicester, and the 3 relegated teams to name a few). Now I see a stronger squad; not that powder puff midfield and defence from the previous seasons. I'm always hopeful, and I'll always support the manager. It needed change; he's doing it. Let's see what happens before we unjustifiably slate him before a ball's been kicked.
