Who the hell told you that? Pre-season has always been about getting fit, avoiding injury. Just because of TV now and these commercial interests, there is so much hype around pre-season. It means f-all.
Gerv is looking good but needs to learn to commit to an option. Either pass or run. He always gets to the edge of the box and is in 2 minds. If he could be selfish/selfless he would be a very very good player for us.
Btw, Arsenal more than holding their own against City.

Come on Rev, you're more intelligent than that. Will Wenger judge players by watching them play against Malaysia, Kitchee, Hanzhou greentown or whatever. It's just a chance to get fit after a summer holiday and increase brand value of the club.
