apparently fee agreed for Dan Harding too
I've been on holiday for a week, it's odd I've come back and we've signed half a back four and can't see any sheep informing us all of their insider knowledge of a asset stripping new owners.
I like that he's signed or is after Collins (31/32), Halford (27) and Harding (28) as this is just the sort of experience we need and a perfect age for us.
Excellent news!
Does Harding development put paid to big George rumours?
We've got a defence....
We've got a defeeeeeeence.....
We're Nottingham forest..
We've got a defence....!!!!!
I was under the impression George was being made 1st choice LB at Wolves next season and has said he wants to stay to prove himself.
Not entirely sure I would want him either. Given a choice of him and Cunningham I would have gone for the latter.
Don't know much about Harding. Had some impressive seasons, but played a bit part last season. However, read he had signed a new contract last season. Only quick research, so may contain errors!
I love the fact we are rebuilding effectively at low cost too. We still haven't spent the money we got for Gunter, and we've almost rebuilt our defence and gotten Pep in! It's kind of an anti-Leicester approach.
Hmm, Cunningham wasn't great, Elokobi was strong but really not a very good footballer. I like Southampton's manager and Harding just signed a 3 year contract with them so am happy to see us go for him rather than the other two.
glad we have signed halford. but not sure in harding, dont know to much about him is he any good?
Well I've not seen him a great deal, he's got 150 appearances in this league with Leeds and Ipswich plus Southampton. I imagine them selling him after giving him a new contract at the start of last season means he's decent but limited. I'm happy to have him with Freeman as cover.
All-knowing 'sheep' checking in (aren't we entitled to opinions too?)... I've always rated Harding when I've watched him but he's surprisingly "let go" quite often, so maybe I over-rate him...
Halford - Delaney - Collins - Harding
would look solid if unspectacular, but what more do you need in this division?
Organised defence, hardworking midfield and a regular goalscorer or two and you can't go far wrong, as your messiah billy NEARLY proved
Sorry for encroaching on "your" board, I know how precious SOME of you can get(!), but ours is dead now everyone is filtering colbi.

1. Of course you're entitled to your opinions, they're just not as valid as ours
2. I fully agree. Solid but unspectacular. Managed correctly though, they could be one of the best defence in the league
3. Colbi What a massive tool.
Was hoping more for Moloney or Freeman/Collins/Halford/Harding but think it seems pretty strong. There aren't many skilfull defences at this level but they're solid and experienced and there are goals in amongst them too.

I think halford has spent the majority of his career as a RB/RM so don't think you'll have signed him as a centre half.
Does that freeman play left back then? So back up would be Maloney-Lacelles-Freeman?
It pays to know the opposition...
He played at centre half for Pomopey last season - doesn't say much granted! He'll be a bit stronger in the air at RB than Gunter especially at 6'4".
Freeman can play both sides but I think is better at RB. Another board said SoD stated we needed to sign 6 defenders but thought that meant the end of Moloney and Freeman. I'd have thought that meant we'd have 8 defenders, maybe a first choice and backup back 4. Anyhow, that's 2 signed, maybe 3 with Harding. 3 or 4 to go.
Harding on board now, so we finally have a left back?
Lloyd, are you forgetting Lascelles??
