I think you're getting confused again. The Athletics Legacy have been granted the 99 year lease. West Ham may have to fit their games around athletics events but they will not have sole use of the stadium for 99 years.

If an athletics event want to use it, whether it be in August, May or December, they will use it. West Ham will have to find jumpers for goalposts. Then again, by the time West Ham are granted some use of it, they will be playing park football anyway. Yoyo Club..

The lease will be watertight re the lease & this is one thing the OLDC & LLDC will be very stringent about, aware that the lease will be scrutinised by other parties to ensure there are no loopholes for your small club (if you get it) to wriggle through!
Where are you going to play your home games in August & September then guys??

I bet Tottenham and their fans now wish they had never tried to move to east London and grab the Olympic Stadium.
Had you not been so greedy, the OS wouldn't be a topic of conversation between the 2 clubs. But, as it is, if West Ham do get it, it will now always be our trump card. Bigger than any player, manager, trophy etc.
myhammers: Even they never tried for OS, I wouldn't say they are bigger than West Ham. How could a club returned 1500 tickets to a local derby game when they are punching above their weight consider as a big club? Sorry, I am not.
