Spain, a country more skillful at football than England, helped those players develop more than Liverpool.
Don't get me wrong, I want to see Liverpool do well after their transfers and would rather see you finish in the top 4 than City and Chelsea, but they're not going to turn overhyped, overrated Englishmen into world beaters.
I was thinking more like Barcelona developing most of the Spanish squad from youth. Maybe we are trying to be the Barca of England.
We didn't exactly develop Torres, Johnson or Downing
That`s stumped the liverpool fans OP. If they say Liverpool developed Torres then they have to say what a great player he is, if they don`t then Liverpool don`t develop players very well.
