I'm sure its just paper talk but what an absolutely ridiculous bid if true.
Don't know how long he's got on his contract left but I don't think we should be letting him go now, I'd rather just say he's not for sale and see how we do this season!
I would be absolutely gutted if he left.
I personally rate him very highly, he easily one of our best players.
I think he's still got 2 years left on his contract.
I highlighted this transfer a few weeks ago well not City but Barcelona as I notied the price for him to sign for them was very low 4/6... It sent alarm bells ringing in my head that for the odd's to be that low something must be going on and now this story breaks out I would not be surprised in the slightest if he leaves....
I honestly thought that he would have been the type of man to think "hang on, I'm part of the reason we're not in the champions league. So I'll put it right" but if he goes. He should be sold abroad and not to a rival!
It wasn't actually them that reported Aquilani exit, it was the people who they quoted
£30m or f off
20 million and it is a good deal..
He is injured a lot and to be honest we do have a pretty handy CB called Coates who got Uruguay's young player of the tournament award recently so although I would be gutted it is not the end of the world...
Who ever it was they were right last night and I'm worried!
How livid would you be if he cost £13 million?
Surely he's gotta be worth ten mil more than that?
Especially when Jones was £16 million and Lescott was £24 million.
I wouldn't believe a thing the mirror says
Don't be alarmed
"I'm part of the reason we're not in the champions league."
err.....he wasn't part of the reason for that
King Luis Suarez - I might be fick but I can spell DEEEEENCH!!! (U1695)
Try not to worry I think things like this are inevitable lets be honest if you were Agger and not played CL in 3 years and Madrid and Barca and City wanted you it's impossible not to go... We are going to take time to rebuild and I believe more players will leave and more disappointment will happen but unlike last season where we attempted to buy our way into the top four we are going for a rebuilding process.. Also have faith in Coates he is our future!!!
No quotes, no sources, a reported offer of just £13m and the fact it's the Mirror... I really wouldn't read too much into this
If he leaves the club shouldn't take less than £25m but I'd tell whoever comes £30m or f off.
You could use £25m to buy real class though

LOL That is funny!!! But seriously I think this story has more substance than some people are giving it credit for....
Oh and I can predict Mirrors next transfer rumour regarding Liverpool.
Anyone want to bet it's going to be Pacheco to a Spanish club?
@Suarez_7
Why would anyone give story on the mirror any credit? Agger and the lads have been in America for a tour and I doubt he even knew an offer came in if it ever did.
Bullsh..t story.
honest,
Mirror hack or not, he hasn't signed a new contract yet, which he said he would. So there will be speculation and quite rightly some concern
Personally the reason I believe it is because for weeks now the betting patterns have had Agger as low as 4/6 to join Barcelona.. It is in no way a true reflection of anything but I thought at the time it was strange for there even to be betting on him leaving us let alone for it to drop that low, as there had hardly been anything about his future apart from the odd bit here or there that City were interested then out of nowhere a rumour came out City were going to offer us Lescott plus cash for him...
Then all of a sudden we get this story about a bid and Barcelona waiting in the wings....
I might be wrong but for the last month or so I have expected a bid to come in for him so I really would not be surprised in the slightest...
Honest.
............
I hope to xxxx you are right, Would not suprise me to see that Suarez is the next one going to Barcelona for
£12 million.
@Suarez_7
Reason behind that could be because Agger played really well in Europe while Liverpool finished 8th. It is easy to predict a top team may come for him.
Oh and it says Mascherano recommended him, how do they know and why would Mascherano want a player that would keep him out of the team? Are the mirror stupid
He's our best defender by some distance and will be pivotal for us next season, I'd be as depressed as I was when xabi left if he did go, really rate him.
Fooking better not. I've already ordered my Agger shirt.
Now I know it's the mirror but last night they were reporting that Aqua was on his way to Fiorentina and it's turned out to be true.
------------------------------------------
Eh what? How has it turned out to be true? Has he signed? Someone better tell his agent.
"Let's not open up a soap opera, please," agent Franco Zavaglia told Radio Sportiva. "Aquilani is a Liverpool player and he is happy where he is now.
"We have not received any requests from [Fiorentina sporting director] Daniele Prade, but that was only to be expected, seeing as Aquilani will only leave on a permanent move and at figures Fiorentina cannot afford.
"I would rule out a current return to Italy. At the moment Alberto is relaxed and on Tuesday he'll attend pre-season training with Liverpool, as planned."
