last night he was excellent, don't remember a misplaced pass from him all game.

Great assist for 3rd goal.

Like people say if he stays fit then he could become top player.

He has been very good

Ball retention and passing ability has been excellent

He was very ordinary in the first game but played very well last night I thought.

But we did play UAE, so people need to be careful with the hype.

He's been good. Though i'm not going to read too much into Team GB. Its a mish-mash of players who have barely played together - no one will be at their best.

He's nothing special from what I seen of him. Decent prospect, but no where near good enough to replace giggs/scholes.

Cheers Macca,

I think we'll be playing with a deeper No.10 and either him or ando alongside Carrick for most games.

Doesn't look like we're buying a CM, so I guess him or Ando will have to step up this year for us to dominate.

Far better than anything that gets served up in pre-season.... I wouldn't bet against them if they played against England either.

As for Tom... I think has has done well, very well... especially when you consider last night was only his 3rd competitive game in many a month. He is not the trickiest player, but very technical and a good, sensible head on him.

Motm yesterday for me. Just seemed to have passes going to the right place. Did not play scared. Had an assist and should have scored. His performance yesterday has drawn rave review from many sources but i am guessing not here.

He was very good last night, think he will be a key player this year, as he would have been last year, had he not been injured. He will go on to be a key player for many years too. I couldn't disagree more with the comments from "50-p".

Depends who's judging him.
United fans seem pretty level headed about him and seem to agree he shows promise. With the right partner he could feature alot for us this season.

Arsenal fans will never give him any credit. I'd 8-2 guess why?

Cleverly looks pretty good. The old men of the team Giggs and Bellamy have been good and Ramsey had a good game against UAE.

Team GB don't look a bad side to be honest.

Players better than Cleverly:

Ramsey, Allen, Wilshere, Thiago, Oscar, Lucas Moura. That's just from top of my head.

Cleverly, as I say is a decent prospect, but not a world class one. Utd could, and should do alot better than him.

I'll give you Wilshire and Oscar looks class, but we need to see him in the PL before the circle jerking begins.

None of that list are currently world class though and one is not even a CM. Did anyone here say Clevs is world class or even say he has the potential to be?

....................

Neither Ramsey or Allen were very good yesterday. Ramsey was rubbish, and I did not even know Allen was on the field until he hit one into row z.

None of us can really comment on Moura or Oscar yet because we have hardly seen them.

Excellent example of why utd fans are hated.

I have never ever seen you debate someone without acting like a right cóck, on here.

Ramsey was decent, Allen was too. I'll admit Cleverly had a good game, y'day, but as said, it was only UAE.

The way utd fans go on about him, you'd think he is the best out there.

No-one is saying Clevs is works class or even bugging him up that much. We recognise that he is technically very good and also has a great attitude. Other than that we will have to wait and see. However, I believe he has a good future at United.

Considering I stay exclusively on the UTD board, that probably says more about you than me.

How can we take you seriously when you say Lucas Moura is a better CM than Cleverley?

posted on 30/7/12

He reminds me a bit of Jamie O'Hara, in looks & what he does on the pitch. Although i appreciate Cleverley probably has the better future.

posted on 30/7/12

Made the second goal, did a good tackle and immediate through pass putting the striker in. Can see why he plays well with Anderson, he loves neat one-two's

posted on 31/7/12

Having seen Jamie O'Hara play, I don't think they are alike.

Ramsey isn't that great, especially after his injury. Will he hit form, who knows. I rated hit but after last year, its got to be wait and see. Allen only had one decent season in the PL. We'll see how he does next season. To say they are better is an overstatement. I would say they are all around the same level.

Thiago, I heard a lot of good things about him and the same with Oscar. We'll see how they develop but I guess you could say they have that something special that the other three lack. And Lucas Moura isn't even a CM.

50p - Thanks for your Arsenal opinion. Tom Cleverley will do just fine for United thanks, wait and see.
