Ibrahimovic scored 36 goals last season. A third of them were penalties. Which makes him considerably less impressive.

But anyway, there are too many variables to say if there's a 'best player'.

Yea, we sign Sahin and Cazorla and suddenly Song sin't good enough to get in the team.

Rosicky? Arshavin? Even Diaby?

Yeah, would you suggest otherwise?

I don't want Sahin at all, Cazorla or not. Waste of space player. Coq would be a better bet. Song would be better for us than Sahin. Cazorla would probably be better than Rosicky and Diaby for AM. Cazorla is like Arshavin (through the middle and out wide) but better.

Ibrahimovic is an awful choice. You guys are stupid.

Sahin would be great Andrei. Why do you think he'd be a waste of space?

posted on 31/7/12

A year of no game time. Like Wilshere but not as suited to PL. No guarantee he would be good. Would just be a loan. What are his good qualities? Wouldn't allow Coq to develop. I'd sooner Ramsey play as one of the two deep mids (I think he's more suited to that than the Fab role). Diaby, Song, Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey, Coq. We don't need Sahin as well. Fab role on the other hand, Rosicky, Ramsey (crap there), Wenger won't pick Arshavin or Diaby there.

Coquelin will be our utility man

Song is average, lacks any discipline has no desire to track back and defend.

'has no desire to track back and defend.'

No, that is Denilson. Song does like to defend, it's just he likes to go for a wander sometimes. Denilson went for a wander, lost possession, then just stood upfield like a moron.

I think he's very suited to England. He's not just a technical player, he does a lot of dirty work and isn't afraid to get stuck in. Coquelin would still get plenty of playing time, injuries, suspensions and cup games will make sure of that.

Ramsey was awful last season in the deeper role, worse than he was in advanced positions.

Plus the deal being a loan one makes it better for us, if it doesn't work out, we don't have to keep him.

What games have you been watching? Most of last season, back 4 is exposed too often, saw it in pre-season aswell no help from Song, likes to play lofted through balls too often

posted on 31/7/12

Song will hopefully do a lot more defensive work if we sign Cazorla.

posted on 31/7/12

Lol @ people rating Sahin after one good season in the bundesliga and 4 appearances in la liga... He could easily be as poor as Aaron Ramsey next season.

posted on 31/7/12

Ibra is the best striker in the world!

Song is the best dm in the prem because he can play lofted through balls.

People seem to forget that Song was much more disciplined in 10/11 than last season, IMO it's not that he's not capable of sitting in front of the back four, just that last season he took it upon himself to do to much due to the vacuum created by the loss of Cesc. As Kam says hopefully if we get Cazorla, Song will be a much more effective DM again.
