Jones breaks down attacks with trademark reducers. Toure mainly defends, but can get forward and try his luck. Fullbacks push up one at a time to support wingers with crosses, and are handy with long shots too. Palacio and Holtby provide intricate link up play to baffle Maggio. While Farfan's trickery can test Alba's defensive qualities. Palacio can drive at Rami with pace. Huntelaar feeds off long balls and Farfan's crosses to bury opportunities.

Tactics:

Look to control the midfield and the game. Xavi is the key to this and he will play as he does for Barcelona. M'Vila will not go forward but will simply protect the defence. Kagawa to play behind RVP and find the pockets of space a la Iniesta. Wingers to supply RVP and look to beat their men. Defence will stay tight and fullbacks only go forward when necessary. RVP to feed off the excellent supply and score. Our play style is similar to Barca in that we will look to be in control. Take the game to Roma.

We will look to give the ball wide towards our wingers. Lamela and Willian will be making runs over the top to try and split their defence. They need to get to the byline and either cross quality balls in for Gomez or slide it to the edge of the box for Eriksen. Walker and Angel need to stop the wingers by matching their pace and winning the tackes and Alderweireld and Hummels have the quality to deal with any attacking threat. Vidal and De Rossi have great passing ability and tackling ability to stop midfield runners and create chances. Gomez must finish his chances.
