Agree Townsend has look good and in general we have a very good squad but need that special signing to really lift the place

I get the feeling Townsend's going to be in and around the first team squad this year. After playing right wing the other day I wonder if AVB is looking at him as cover for both flanks, as people were saying about Hoilett.

Would much prefer to see a couple of the youngsters take squad places over JJ, Bentley etc. If not send them on decent loans (not bloody Yeovil!) preferably abroad!

Some one buy bentley please he was rubbish again last night.

Have seen Townsend a few times now, and definately sure he can do a decent job as a squad member. Is a fair way short of being a starter consistently but that will only come with experience and game time at a higher level.

At the minute he reminds me of how Lennon was when he first arrived, got the ability but it's head down and run rather than being selective in what he does.

Will get there though and would like to see him in the squad.

Don't think so.
But AVB for giving them some decent pre-season games rather than festering in training.
