Really hope hes staying with us and him not being involved in friendlies is just SOD wanting to experiment with the trialists and new signings.
We've always had problems in the final 1/3 getting balls to strikers and raddi on his day is amazing at getting passes through the centre of the park. We really should be in a position where we're not looking to sell any influential players, especially seeing as raddy would fit SoD's style perfectly.
I'd be gutted if he leaves, played in the right position( not a winger) like final 1/4 of the season, he's like you say, one of the best.
If SOD like playin football on the floor in a slick style, i can't see how he'd let him go?
CM is without doubt our strongest position. As much as i like Raddy, the CM partnership has to work, so if he doesn't hit it off with Pep / Greening / Moussi / McGugan or whoever plays there, then I can see him being sold tbh
Not that I want him to. Like said, on his day he is great, but whether he is consistent enough is the sticking point.
We might need to sell Majewski in order to free up finances. Don't forget that a large portion of our wage budget is taken up by expensive fringe players ie Greening, Miller, McGoldrick & Derbyshire. The squad needs a total overhaul. The reality is that Raddy is popular, but a bit part player because he doesn't score enough. He's a luxury, easy on the eye, but expensive. From what I've heard, the Kuwaiti player Bader Al Mutawi plays in a similar role but gets more goals. If we're signing him, he'll be cheaper. It would seem that Gunter was sold to free up finances for Guedioura, Collins, Harding and Halford. Notice that the rumour mill has gone pretty quiet and there's no talk of the striker or wingers we need to be competitive. Things may change but I reckon that with a new defence and the dead weights still at club, a top half finish is optimistic.
I'm convinced that Raddy's reintroduction to the side last year was down to O'Driscoll, so it follows that he knows where he fits in. I think that the friendlies so far have been about the 'due diligence' SO'D talked about with the trialists, trying out the new lads, the youngsters and some of the players who haven't played in a while.
Just my observations, though...
We wont sell Raddy, he will fit perfectly into the team under SoD. I can see us selling Lewis if an offer comes in, but not Raddy.

Eh? So the new owners haven't had to pay the Doughty estate anything, Gunter's wages are higher than the 4 new blokes, the agents fees were £0 and there are no relocation fees involved? Just because transfer fees just about level out it doesn't mean we have spent any money - there aren't really any such things as free transfers.
I mean, you look at Derby's midfield ....... then you look at ours. Cohen, Raddy, Pep, McGugan ( on his day ) Reid.
Whats are you joking? Ward is a better left sided player than Cohen and Reid, Bryson was our player of the year, hendrick has premier league teams watching him! Tbh out of the forest players youve just mentioned the only one that would get in our side would be 'Pep' he is a quality player!
Cohen isn't a left sided mid though. he's better than any of your midfielders. The bad thing about our midfield is that there are all central players, and I'd be tempted to say that even Reidy is better as a cm these days. But I reckon all of them would get in the derby side.
